Well if they allow reviews to come out early it might happen. After all this looks to be the first good RE in a long time.

well it definitly also will be related to how succesfull PSVR will be. At the moment the unit is still sold out in most countries so its impossible to say how good it does. Re7 is developed with VR in mind and the full expierence will only be there using a PSVR. This is basically THE must have VR titles.

Im sure re7 will sell easily to most VR owners so depending on how big that playerbase is, success might be there.

I predict 7 Millions day one. The game won't have any competition in January, so everyone will purchase it.
