Sooo last night I couldn't sleep at all. I was just tossing and turning until I thought of this great idea! And that great idea turned out to Rank current gen games, best from worst. The total games I've bought this gen so far is 80 games. All of them are 3DS, Wii U, PS Vita and PS4 games... No Xbox One games. Some games I got for less than 10 dollars on flash sales. Some were digitally only, and most of them I bought Physically. All these purchases began Early 2011 to Last black friday. Soo I put ALOT of time and effort into this list. But since its the list is so damn long. I thought'd just include the top 25 games. You don't need to read the details beside the Game titles on the list. The details are there for explination on why they're on the list. But I encourage you to ATLEAST read the Top 10.
Also, games are measured by length, fun, Importance and connection with other players (if they offered multiplayer). So if you see a great game being ranked lower than a not so great game. Then thats why.

25) Killzone Mercenary: One of the Three PS Vita titles on the list, great shooter and my first fps game of this gen (No joke). When I was going through some teen drama depression, this game helped me escape some of the time.
24) Yoshi Wooly World: I bought this game 3 months ago and had good laughs with a friend. I loved everything about this game! If a sequel comes out, Im getting it day 1! Im glad I got this game. I almost skipped it
23) The Sims 3DS: This is one of the first games I got this gen, and I enjoyed it. I was 14 back then, and I didn't care about the sales or reviews. I never played the console/pc versions. So this game was pretty decent!
22) Uncharted Golden Abyss: It was my first PS Vita game ever, and it was my first Uncharted game too. Good experience and great music.
21) Tearaway PS Vita: The highest ranked PS Vita game on the list! My GF of 5 years gave me this game (who's now a friend) to me. I loved it and it was a Mario like experience on the Vita. I love you PS Vita! You'll always be in my heart.
20) Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon: GOOOD GAME. I played the 1st game but Dark Moon was the first game I owned and its soo good! Had fun with online multiplayer too.... this game was also given to me by my friend who gave me Tearaway. Luigi's Mansion 3 is on my bucket list!
19) Kirby Triple Deluxe: My first Kirby game ever and i loved it! Also given to me by my friend. I loved the controls, the music and the story.
18) Kirby Planet Robobot: Now this game I bought myself. More creative stages than Triple Deluxe, loved the armor suites. the boss's were fun and great music! The last 3DS game I bought so far. I also bought this with my New 3DS XL!
17) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PS2 Classic: San Andreas was one of my favorite games of alll time (I'll probably make a list on that too!) My family was strugling last year with money and didn't recieve much gifts for Christmas. I got this with 2 other games and went through memory lane! Made my gaming christmas better.
16) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege: This game I bought this year because my best friend was playing this instead of our GTA V nights together. I bought this game and it took me awhile to get into and LOVED IT. One of the most underrated games ever IMO. Played this with my best friend and my best cousin.
15) Captain Toad Treasure Tracker: This is the highest ranked game my friend gave me lol. I loved this game soo much. The controls, the skills to play this game were brilliant! I liked the graphics and the music was BRILLIANT! Captain Toad 2 is a game I wish will exist!
14) Dr. Luigi: Im a huge fan of Dr Mario. Summer of 2014 I went through the worst anxiety I went through, and this game calmed me down most of the times during the dark stage. Grade 12 I played this game alot, My Mom played Dr Mario when she was a kid too. This game really made my life better suprisingly lol. Even though it was $15 on eShop. This game is one of the best Wii U games ever to me. Thank you Dr. Luigi for treating my anxiety.
13) Super Mario Maker: I played Mario my whole life and this is a great Mario game. Made me take a peek at past Mario titles/fan made remakes of Mario stages. I enjoyed creating levels and shared my levels with strangers online(I had no friends who owns a Wii U). I never actually got addicted to this game but I did get into it at some times. My favorite Youtube plays this weekly still. A Must get!
12) Call of Duty: Black ops 3: I got this game to take my mind off a break up of a 5 year relationship. Im not a COD or FPS guy at all but this game was pretty good. I enjoye Zombies, and multiplayer. I ended up playing hours of this game with my cousin online. Had tons of laughs and fun! One of the best current gen experiences ever with solid 1080p 60fps.
11) Super Smash Bros. for 3DS: I got this game Week 1 of its release. I remember that day exactly. Had tons of laughs playing with my bestfriend (whos now not in my life due to stabbing me in the back). But the memories of this game was great! It helped me "git gud" in the Smash series since I never played competitive. I was hoping this would make it in the top 10 but its very close!

10) The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD: Another great Zelda masterpiece! I played this game as child but never beat it. I got it week 1 and wow i was amazed! I loved the cartoon graphics, the music is phenomal, the story was great. It's in my top 5 favorite Zelda games of all time (all games are masterpieces). One of the first/best wii u experiences for me ever!
9) Super Mario 3D Land: Suprising as it is, I beat this game in 2013. I don't know why I got it so late since I had a 3DS since 2011. This game is great! I get alot of memories just thinking about it. I met a new group of friends at school in Grade 10 while I was playing this. One of them came to my graduation and shouted "WOO" when I was getting my diploma lol. A year later I was her date for her graduation party. So I guess this game is the game of our friendship lol. The courses are great, the music is good and its my 2nd favorite 3D Mario game (gee, I wonder what the 1st one is?)
8) Super Mario 3D World: I can't believe its been over 2 years since I beat this game. This game is soooo great and I spent hours beating this game 100%. Every level is sooo fun and the graphics are AWESOME. The music is also so great and it's my favorite 3D Mario game of alllll time!
7) Rocket League for PS4: This game made Christmas 2015 a gaming christmas for me. As I said earlier I could only afford cheap PS4 games online due to being on a family budget. This game I'm actually good at, the graphics are great, the music is catchy and I can play this game for hours. I love customizing this vehicle, had tons of laughs with friends and met friends on here too. I loved this game so much I got all its DLC. Rocket League is my 2nd favorite NEWfranchise of this gen. It's a masterpiece to me. Playing spotify and playing this is heaven to me! I hope to play in tournaments in the future when I get better!
6) Mario Kart 8: Where can I start? I've played THE HELL out of this game. After doing a 15 minute non stop run at gym class. I still went for a 20 minute walk and back just to buy this game. The music is fantastic, the graphics blew me away! and the game is hella fun. Played hours and hours offline and online. My 2nd favorite Mario Kart game ever (Behind Mario Kart 64) and one of the best Wii U games ever for me. Music and Mario Kart is soo good too lol. I had tons of laughs with people playing this game and its a great experience. Thank you Nintendo for this masterpiece!
5) Splatoon: Best Shooter of 8th Gen, Best new franchise of this gen, Best Nintendo Game of 2015 and my 2nd most played Wii U game on my wii u. I love this game soooo much! I'm a die hard Splatoon fan. I remember being excited to play this game months before its release. I love its soundstrack, its gameplay, the sounds, the graphics, the stages and everything about this game! Splatoon is the REASON I'm going to get the Switch on launch day. Splatoon you are something special!
4) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: This is one of my first 3DS games and is the REASON I got/wanted a 3DS in the first place. I was perfectly statisfied with my DSi XL until I laid my eyes on Ocarina of Time. The original is one of my first games Ive ever played. The beat this game soo many times and IS THE FIRST ZELDA GAME I've ever bought. The original Ocarina of time belonged to my cousin but he was like a brother to me. Great music and great gameplay! I still play it on a yearly basis.
3) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D: Ever since I beat Ocarina of Time on 3DS I've wanted Majora's Mask on 3DS too. When I saw the trailer I've marked out soo bad at it! This game suprassed Ocarina of Time in EVERYTHING for me. Music, story, gameplay... EVERYTHING. it's my favorite Zelda game OF ALL TIME. This game is the darkest, saddest and most interesting Zelda to date. There's a theory on Youtube saying Link is actually dead in this, which I believe is true. The interesting is sooo creepy and interesting. I don't know what is it with Majora's Mask but I'm IN LOVE with it. There wont ever be a Zelda game like it.
2) Grand Theft Auto V for PS4: This game goes back to the 1st month when it released on PS3. But on PS4 is was great too. This was my FIRST PS4 game ever and I was amazed with the updated graphics, It felt like I was playing a new game! I've met soo many people on this game and had tons of great laughs. And still to this day I have great memories. Me and my cousins would just gather in my room, trolling players, drinking slupees and having fun all night. Just 2 months ago me and my cousin played with my Uncle for the first time and we had soo much fun! I play everything in this game, racing, deathmatches, playing tron and everything else. I used to play this game everyday for HOURS. It was like my virtual life! Even though I don't play this game as often, it goes own as the highest ranked PS4 games, highest ranked GTA, Greatest 3rd person game and so many other awards!
Before I mention the Number 1 spot... I'd like to say it wasn't easy making this list. I probably spent probably an hour coming up with the list and 1 hour of typing this up. The Top 6 games was hard. When I play Splatoon it feels like the game of the generation, or even Mario Kart. I had a tough time deciding between GTA V and the number one game! I'd like to THANK YOU for reading this. Means alot to me!
1) Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: Yes... I said it. Smash Bros is my 2nd favorite gaming series of alll time! But this game beats all other Zelda games for this generation! I had the original smash bros and loved it to death, I never played melee, I owned Brawl but never got good at it, and I fell in love with Super Smash Bros 4. Online is suuuper fun when the connection is good and when you have a friend over. My friend Nathan and I play this EVERYTIME he comes over. We have laughs until we cant hear eachother anymore. I'm not bad when it comes to 1v1. I know all the games tricks and know every player. I know what character I suck at ect ect. I got most of its DLC and its worth every penny. AMAZING soundtrack!! And best graphics on Wii U. Thank you Super Smash Bros for existing!! Game of the Generation so far and I don't think any other game will replace you. You truly are a masterpiece!
