Forums - General Discussion - BREAKING! first true environment-friendly car

So explain to me how its splitting hydrogen to use as fuel without a secondary energy source for the conversion. It doesn't make any sense.

Simple: it is using a perpetual motion machine to generate electricity to break down the water.

Techinically you could make the process more efficient by using the heat from combustion and use virtually all the (kinetic) energy that's otherwise waste (like Toroidon apparently does), but that would only make the process more efficient. However, if I'm not mistaken there was no mention anywhere that you could drive the 900km without "charging", just that the the 60 liter tank was enough for driving 900km.

Tesla is a better car

You could use a pedal bike at home to split the water. 1L of water requires about 4.4kW to split into hydrogen and oxygen. A bike generator can produce about 0.1kWh, that's 44 hours of pedaling, or 15 weeks 5 days without stopping for a full tank. Small effort to enjoy a green car ride.

Fat cheque incoming.

shouldn't this magical car never use up it's fuel as the reaction that generates the energy also generates the engines fuel? why would you exhaust the water-vapor instead of using it again?

This is pure April fools stuff. :D

Alright this has to be BS.

" A litre (0.26 gallons) of water can reportedly generate some 96 megajoules (MJ) of energy while a litre of gasoline produces only 29 megajoules (MJ) of energy."

We're seriously supposed to believe that not only does this car run on water, but it produces far more energy from an equivelent amount of water to fuel?

NASA uses hydrogen fuel to launch space shuttles

Haha, this is so bullshit that it's painful to see.

Well I was aware of this concept, but as far as I know hydrogen is really messy and could explode when they try to used as energy source. I mean this was possible since 2010 I believe but it needed a control environment to work.

This is a total scam. I once saw this on a prank show where they swap out the part where you put in gas with a empty tank so it looks like water is going into the car. And wouldn't it take more energy than a car engine to split atoms? I just don't think that this is feasible.
