I made this topic because I'm playing Skyrim with high res textures and loading times are extremely short, but every time I see a loading screen I remember the pain of the Mass Effect trilogy on PS3 where loading times were 2min long and frequent. I chose to play it on PS3 cos the PC versions didn't have normal controller support at the time.

I'm the same. Skyrim with an SSD and I can't see myself ever going back to an HDD with games like it.

I actually have it installed on a standard 7200rpm HDD and loading times are still 2-3 sec short.

Nothing. Disclaimer: Owns a heavy duty gaming rig! The consoles have great exclusives to keep PC at bay.

SSD are starting to be really cheap now. The prices got cut in half in a year.

As soon as the price is close, I'm jumping in. Price is my only issue, I need lots of storage. I have 4 TB on my PC and I will upgrade my PS4 to 2 TB next month, so right now SSDs would be too expensive for me. If they reach a similar price point (and they will), it's a no brainer.



Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.
