Forums - Sony Discussion - Many first time PS4 adopters are choosing PS4 Pro?

I bought it for more stable frame rates. Apart from some dev's not putting in the effort to implement proper frame-pacing (*cough* SE *cough*) or not bothering to check to see if the GPU could handle the higher rez without sacrificing the framerate, the experience has been good so far.

I think as more and more games come out, the devs will be able to better optimize it and that is when the benefit of the higher flops will be put into play.

I wonder why. Why would they throw away money like that? Oh I know, because they only care about graphics and not gameplay.

Higher stability in games is directly related to gameplay.  My base PS4 has become my indie machine now.

Nah, if that was true, developers wouldn't put graphics before framerate. You're a liar.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's clearly cheaper to make the Slim. Keep that Pro bubbling nicely and then mid 2017 advertise the HELL out of it.

The PS5 Exists.

I have a PS4, a PS4 Pro, and a gaming rig.  All my bases are covered.  2017 will make it clearer.

If a game for some reason runs better on the original PS4, it doesn't matter.  If it runs better on the pro, I'll get it on the pro.  If it's a multiplat, I'll get it on PC.

Eh, more than what? More than slim or more than they expected?

Last time I checked framerate is not a PS4 Pro feature. So I don't see anyone buying it for that.

Check again.
