And I'm proud to say that I'm one of them. 

I just bought the pro to go along with my PS4.  But, I really don't think it makes much sense to buy a slim.  If you can't afford the extra 100 dollars to get all the benefits, you shouldn't be thinking about gaming on a PS4 at all.

To further the evidence of this theory, the PS4 Pro is sold out on Amazon and pretty much every store, at least here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

And it's only $50 more than the 1tb Slim... 

Though at this time of year the gaps bigger as Slims having big sales.

I wonder why. Why would they throw away money like that? Oh I know, because they only care about graphics and not gameplay.

That's a definite possibility. I mean, why wouldn't you get a Pro? Better performance, bigger hard drive,  extra USB, higher resolution. I think anybody that does research and doesn't buy a Pro will regret it later.

To me, buying a PS4 slim to save money is akin to buying an Xbox 360 with no HDD or 12gb PS3. Yeah, you have the console but you're cheating yourself and you probably couldn't afford one, anyway.

It's a superb console to jump in on at a superb price. I don't know who would bother buying the new mainline PS4 slims with the Pro sitting beside them on store shelves. The value is with the Pro by far.

Last time I checked framerate is not a PS4 Pro feature. So I don't see anyone buying it for that.

Well my FFXV runs at an almost stable 30 fps in FPS mode. I guess that counts?

My RotTR and inFamous games have an increased frame rate mode so that may also count.
