Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Mario Run Commercial

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qpdfg5km60w

Looks like Nintendo spent a lot of money on this. Similar to the Pokemon Go ad but kinda like the Switch trailer too. Also a bit reminscent of the "Who Are You?" Mario GameCube-Era Nintendo spot (one of the best commercials Nintendo has ever done IMO).

Man, they are really on a roll with their ads as of late (save for the gameplay at the game awards).
I hope they can keep this up during the launch of the Switch.

Liked the commercial until the end. Must have cost a fortune.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

Looks like Super Mario Run may have to break some considerable bank to make up for it.

Jezus, they poured a lot of money in that commercial. Mobile has money potential, but that seems excessive IMO.

I counted New York/Times Square, London, Paris, Egypt/pyramids, Africa (?), Japan (Kyoto?), South America (Brazil?), Los Angeles (palm trees?) as some of the filming locations.

Meh, too interested about Switch to not care.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Yeah, looking at the expense, my guess Nintendo will indeed followup Mario Run with a Mario NS at the Switch Launch. Why put in this money and don't exploit it at the launch of your make or break console?

They must have learned from Pokemon Go and went full out. At least that's what it seems.

I wonder if Apple is picking up some bills or aid on this marketing for Super Mario Run. I wouldn't be surprised.

Loved it, imho they made the right choice by showcasing so many countries/people, I bet even they didn't know such diverse cultures would apreciate Pokémon GO the same way, so it really sends the message of "game for everyone". If I were to change something I would have changed the last scene, far too similar to that of the Pokémon GO reveal trailer, they should have chosen another location/ a totally different closing
