Except none of these women want to wear that retarded thing. They're just force to do it by husband/family. Just think about what being invisible to the outside world does to their psyche. Now I hear muslims saying if they can't be fully covered some will never be allowed outside by their husbands which is really fucking sad.

My mother is Iraqi and unmarried. She is not forced to wear her veil. She has, at times, felt forced to NOT wear it, however.

Hahahahaha

If I tell my wife to stop wearing her hijab she would probably divorce me. It is a conscious choice she made at 15 years old, she was never forced. My mum is 45 and started wearing it about 4 years ago, no one forced her either. Where do you get your info from

If there was some sort of crime spree by people wearing veils, this might seem justified.

Maybe its because I live in the US and I've been spoiled by a country that allows religious freedom, but this feels like an attack on Islam and not a safety concern. I'm more worried about being attack by people with hoodies and baggy pants.

I'm not fan of Islam by the way, but I'm no fan of taking away freedom either.

Let em where that nonsense in whatever dump they're from but they shouldn't be allowed to wear it in a proper country.

That kind of counters the idea of, "freedom" doesn't it?

A few months ago, when cities in france were establishing that new law forbidding to wear muslim clothes at beaches, and the media were reporting that story of the muslim woman who wore a burkini at the beach of Nice and was forced by the police to take off some clothes, I read a funny yet true comment; I don't remember the exact wording, but it was something along the lines of:

"First we were offended by the nakedness of the "uncivilized savages" and forced them to put clothes on and dress modestly (referring to the days of colonialism etc.), now we are offended by their modesty and force them to put their clothes off."

If they ban the face veil (something happening in a few places due to security concerns, I think they should follow through with this principle and prove they are being just and ban anything that covers most of the face and have a law that makes it illegal to wear anything that covers X% of a face e.g.

Masks, balaclavas, scarves, hoodies, knitted hats in combination with scarves, coats that zip up your head etc

If security is a genuine reason then do it properly not half assed.

I don't see why women in a full veil are considered dangerous or a security concern. More unveiled women have committed crimes / killed than those who wear a veil. I don't see alcohol being banned although it is the cause for a lot of deaths, altercations.

As for the hijab ban, what about the Sikh, Christian, Hindu equivalent? Will they only ban Muslim women wearing a scarf or anyone wearing a scarf on their head?

Also the veil has very little to do with integration. I've seen women in veils go to theme parks, Eat out, go to school, have jobs, make friends and socialise etc. A friend of mine who is Christian said she was able to recognise all her friends in veils via their shoes, handbag and mannerisms. Her friends wedding veils made little to no difference in her socialising with them.

If equality means men can wear what they want, I can't see why women cannot. The security thing is completely BS. If you really wanted to kill / cause harm, a veil / hijab won't stop you. It's not like women can't hide shit under a coat, in a handbag, in a purse, under a baggy dress etc.

Rather than make excuses, I think it's a lot easier to say they have no idea how to tackle the WW Khawarij issue and since they are unable to differentiate between Khawarij and Muslims they fear Muslims. Since they can't ban Muslims they have chosen to ban the veil / hijab. At least that way they are being honest. A veil ban is in no shape going to help security in any shape or form.

Who cares. If they wanna be in a proper country then wear proper clothes.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Well if we talk about the burka it is mostly for security reasons. How are you going to control someone because the moment you do you get under attack because you don't accept the freedom of religion and only the family women may control them.

Most european countries anyway don't allow an id card without an unveiled face do they?

And one of the reasons burka's get banned in muslim countries is security reason but IS love using them though.
