Nintendo rebooted it in Xenoblade Chronicles X lol but yes I would love one.

I definitely think it should be rebooted, one of my favorite jrpg series ever before it went online! That said with Monolith Soft expanding and the art style being almost identical (seriously, look at Xeno X and Phantasy Star) I think it'd be the perfect series for a Sega/Nintendo collab. All the other companies named (Level 5/Atlus) are fine, but have a lot of series of their own to take care of. Monolith Soft is easily the best fit with budget, experience in science fiction jrpgs, and looking for that next big series they can bring to gamers!

I blame Vita. Vita killed the Radio Star Phantasy Star. Freaken hell, Man. I waited years for PSO 2 to come to the US for my Vita. Then Sega happened...

Most of the team members still work at Sega, the studios just got restructured. Rieko Kodama is still there. If Sega had the money and wanted to they can easily make something amazing again, as Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles prove.

Sega said that Atlus was allowed to work on any of their IP's if they wanted to. I could see an Atlus developed Phantasy Star being amazing.

And tons of fan service. Ridiculous amounts of fan service. I can't even begin to describe how much fan service a reboot of this franchise would need. Like, borderline hentai game. That's how much fan service.
