a very long time ago: Nintedo > Sega, vague awareness of PC gaming
decade prior to 2006: PC > what else is there?
next two years or so: Nintendo > PC > Xbox > PS
last few months: PC > Nintendo > Xbox > PS

OP: Is this thread supposed to be about people telling what company they prefer, or bitterly arguing with each other? You started with one, and quickly moved to the other...

ex-PC journalist, ex-Playstation journalist, ex-multiformat journalist.
I'm not pro or contra any hardware. But console wise, PS3 is by far the most future proof.

On handhelds, it's Nintendo DS that grabs most of my attention the most.

I'm pro Nintendo and pro Playstation. Hate to choose as I love them both equal. Ninty for the Zelda, Mario and other typical Nintendo games and Playstation for the role playing games, Ratchet & Clank / Jak & Daxter franchises.

Though in the end I would choose Playstation. Especially if they'll announce a Star Ocean IV, Dark Cloud 3 and

Valkyrie Profile for on the PS3, then they're officially my heroes

Edit: and indeed, the DS shows the most varied and interesting library of games concerning handheld gaming.

Its the homebrew stuff that mostly kills the software sales of the PSP and therefore prevents to bring a larger amount of new releases to the PSP.
