Final Fantasy 15 PS4 sales stomp all over the Xbox One version

Final Fantasy 15 sold through the lion’s share of copies on the PlayStation 4 following its debut last week, according to data obtained by GfK Chart-Track.

To be more specific, almost four in every five copies of the JRPG sold in the U.K. last week were on Sony’s flagship console, with the PS4 version accounting for 79 percent of physical sales of Final Fantasy 15 at launch. By comparison, the Xbox One edition scooped just 21 percent of all copies sold.

As a result of the game’s success on PS4, Final Fantasy 15 became the best-selling videogame on Sony’s current-generation machine last week. For Xbox One, the title only managed sixth place behind Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Minecraft: Xbox Edition, and Battlefield 1.

Meh, XB1 gamers buy more of their games digitally and sony games only buy physical games. If we had digital numbers it would be a totally different story.

Yes, America will buy the same fraction or even higher of all currently available retail copies. In other words, I'd actually call this a resounding success...

Expect NieR Automata soon if the PS physical variant doesn't sell like shit...

I actually expected the share to be even less on XOne.But yeah, the fact that FF XV would sell way better on PS4 was expected.

Not surprising, really... Just as expected. Even FFXIII sold far better on the PS3.
