Americans have had many chances to buy domestic goods and often choose foreign products even when given a choice.

I remember in the 80s/90s if you could buy something made in Japan, you automatically bought that every time over American made stuff, lol.

Also how much more are you willing to pay? $500 for a PS4? $600?

A war like that won't just be a "trade war" it will turn into a Cold War pretty quick.

China is not just TVs and Playstations, 70% of what's in a Wal-Mart (even things like Apple Juice) are produced in China. If you start a trade war, you are going to make life far more expensive for the average American.

lol i payed 400 for a PS4 so an extra 100 for it not to be chinese is a bargin to me if it means more jobs just down the street.

I avoid chinese food products like the plague, and dont shop at walmart.

It woulnd become a cold war, chinese know they would lose and there is no upside for them turining it into that.

And also forget about Walmart. Almost everything is China made from shoes to mobile phones to laptops to tables to carpets to TVs to anything else you use in your daily life. Your home most surely is filled with made in China

Most of the people here are from the west and it shows. Each post is demonizing China in some way or form and make America seem so good but living in a different part of the world, I know how screwed up the USA is and especially the CIA and military wing and it would take a lot for China to reach that level of screwed up. Decades upon decades. Also the people here calling China to chill on Taiwan, what would USA do if one of your States demanded succession. Would you just give your state away?

lol no.  China is no miltary match they are not getting into a cold war with the US, Soviets did casuse thast all they had.

China US will clash is coming, better it be now and a trade war.  Will balance out the world.  Letting them go uninterupted out of some patetic fear is well pathetic.

By "Will balance out the world.",

I assume you are saything US to take control of the world, because even right now, the world is not not balanced at all, with US fucked/fucking up Europe, Mid East, Saudi Aradia.

Don't forget Africa. I'm sure US has enough shenanigans going on there as well

For China, Taiwan is a part of the country, not a country by itself. It is, for China, like Trump is accepting a unofficial call from one of their states and completely ignoring China's authority. That is a big ofense, Trump knows that, why would he try to attack China ?

No American car? lol. I have a 60k BMW and a 80k Mercedes, but I'm honest about it at least, lol, I wouldn't touch an American car with a 50 foot pole.

I'm sure you meant they're worth like 6K and 8k.

China uses their media to keep the masses accurately informed and up to date. This is no overreacting. They just make sure the public knows about this 'Trump' guy.

Why do the liberal angled posts always deal with the unsubstantiated "what if"?
I mean a what if scenario and discussion can be a positive because coming to absolute or reasonably relative conclusions is what it's all about.

But using words like "terrifying" is just a feeling. That's where your posts seem to base themselves, talking to Soundwave here.
Mixing feelings and emotive language with macro type discussion is a recipe for nobody moving on their opinion.

Einstein shoule have stuck to academia.

You do realise the weapons today are capable of like laying waste to the intire surface of the world, 12 times over or something like that right?

Any war that ends up being faught like this... there is no winner, only losers.

Its why its called MAD - mutual assured destruction.

A real war between the US and China, doesnt end well.

A trade war? US probably suffers just as much as china does in that situation.  Doubt anything good will come of that either.

I don't disagree with you.

If war is iminent with any super power then a first strike is always the only possible option at staying alive.

I'm not surw what is wrong with stating that as a universal fact. "Iminent" by definition means unavoidable.

Thats just crazy.

You know they built those silo's to be able to withstand a attack right?

So the missils fly reguardless of who strikes first or not, both parties get hit.

Just being first doesnt win you a war like that. Both sides lose, its the only outcome.

Also you dont know whats unavoidable or not, and the only thing you can know for certain,

is if you strike first, you ll get a strike back.

Hillary Clinton and Obama where attacking Putin continue, which was supported for some reason. Trump wanting to restore or not attacking Russia was apparently wrong and frightening. But giving critique on China is also wrong. What China is doing in the south sea is not legal according to an international panel (Internationaal gerechtshof in Den Haag) neither dles the US. So make up your mind America do you want to criticize other countries or not. Because being upset at one and not another is confusing.

I actually support Trump in opposing these practices in China, since they are ruining industries and simetimes play dirty, like ditching steel in Europe and make producers there struggle. They also artificially keep prices for certain recources very high. Not because he is Donsld Trump, but because someone needs to criticize China once in a while.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
