Let's see now, in the past 10 years since Twilight Princess we had:
2007 - Phantom Hourglass - Never played it, so I can't comment, but it sold over 5 million and word of mouth leans slightly towards the positive side, though opinions I've heard are overall mixed.
2009 - Spirit Tracks - Never played it, but opinions were a little more positive than Phantom Hourglass, = 3.3 million sales.
2011 - Skyward Sword - I HAVE played it. And opinions were also mostly positive, close to 4 million sales... (And my Absolute Favorite Video Game of All-Time!)
2013 - A Link Between Worlds - A game that is universally loved and hailed as one of the greatest 2D Zeldas of all-time, and sold over 3 million.
Now we've got Breath of the Wild coming, and based on appearance and pre-reception, if it lives up to expectations and delivers, it could very well dethrone Ocarina of Time as the widely considered, greatest Zelda game ever made.
Sooooo. No, Zelda is FAAARRRR from dead.
Try again, Mr. President-Elect.
