Seems like an obvious thing for Nintendo.

No idea why the 3DS isn't. I mean when people travel, they don't want to have to pack a phone charger AND a game charger. It's nice when one cord can charge both.

Any console with USB C or micro is a smart move.

To be honest this port could allow supplemental home dock/external GPU type setups for Switch.

Before someone (like SuperMetalDave) says this is fucking confirmation of that though, note I said *could*.
