Forums - Movies & TV - I'm about sick of the Walking Dead.

I'm the exact opposite in that the Negan episodes are the only ones I've liked so far this season. I already know what happens since I've read the comics, but Negan is just such a fun villain

Or you could take you pick of any of the results of "Robert Kirkman Walking Dead End" Google results.

I guess either way, he's full of shit.

Dude... You clearly don't understand what I'm saying, my point was that the comics and the show weren't created with an end in mind, they were created to go on and on and on. Killing characters, creating new ones, etc.

The quote  I gave you, proves my point. What he said in 2016, just proves that he has changed his mind. But even if he changed his mind now, the show was still created with no idea how to end it. And that's always the kind of shows that drags on and get really boring

My bad. I get really focused on winning sometimes, even when there's no reason to argue.

I took it that there was no end in sight, and I don't mind watch a show about survival as long as the story arcs within it makes sense and holds my attention.

I agree with OP. Except I was too exhausted by the series to watch this current season. Loved the first two seasons. disliked the eye patch governor period. Like the hospital section, the aikido lesson.. and now I'm done. I'm just done. It's a zombie filled soap opera with all the pauses and lack of background music. I want to want it so bad but it fails to keep me entertained.

The show peaked for me with S3. Since then it's just boring. Post governor / sanctuary is appalling.

Might catch up when it's on netflix or something.

I got sick of this series a couple seasons ago.

All they do is find some new place to live each season, yet there happens to be some new person who is super evil/commanding/ect. People you like shockingly die at parts in the season all building up to killing the evil dude and needing to find a new place to live.

Rinse and repeat.

It reminds me of the Sword of Truth book series. After the first few (which are good) they follow like the same pattern. The first chapter has some new evil guy show up and do something horrendous to some female(s) (writer seems to have some fetish about abusing women I think) in order to show us what will happen to one of our beloved female characters who ends up going there or getting kidnapped or something. So you just keep reading just for the sole sake of wanting to see the bad guy die horribly cause you hate him so much. Or did before he rapes the female, or whatever the case may be. Never finished the series. Aftrer a few books of the exact same scenerio playing out I quit.

Yeah, the season's been bothering me as well. Ever since the 1st episode, the season has gone down hill. It's just too bloated at this rate, so it's hard to move forward with some much happening at once. Pretty disappointed so far, but I'll keep on watching anyways..

I gave a friend of mine the fifty issue omnibus a few years back. He loved it but he said he couldn't finish it. Too depressing. He wanted some sense of hope Ave a bright spot every now and then.

I guess people get tired of the constant depression. It wouldn't be so bad if the show didn't often add piss poor storytelling, as well.

You got to be interested in character development and the world to enjoy it. If you just want people slaughtering zombies, then watch a zombie movie.

Good analogy. That's all it is now. Just instead of having the drama of someone sleeping with someone wife/husband/daughter/ect, they kill off a character for their big surprise twist/drama.
