What are you going on about? I predicted 77 before the game was released. I am not saying its going to get 77 now. For the record my prediction is alot closer than many that claimed low 90s and high 80s and some claiming low 70s. 77 was a fair prediction. So no my prediction is not Fucked.

This says otherwise. You said that there were still more reviews to be counted (resting on your original belief).

There's a reason games get delayed for this many years and it's usually not a good one.

Luckily in this case, the game turned out to be a good one.

I never said it will get a 77 now, that was my prediction before and i expect more lower scores to come, that doesnt mean it will hit a 77 now, just means it wont sit in the mid 80s. Its expected on all high profile titles.

Am i not allowed to post my opinions and predictions without being attacked? How about those who claimed a lower score like 60s?

I think you both have misunderstood my original comment.

I don't see anyone attacking you. I certainly haven't. Just spotted an inconsistency. In the same sentence, you say : "I never said it will get a 77 now, but I expect lower scores to come". That leaves the door open for interpretation. With you rigorously coming to that prediction's defense, it makes sense that people would assume you still feel that way. And then, of course...

...you say "it won't sit in the mid 80s". Well, where will it rest? It's already in the low 80s and was never in the mid-80s to begin with.

There are alot of other gamers whose predictions are alot worse. I knew this game wasnt going to be a master piece or a system seller, but i also knew it wasnt going to be as bad as Knack. I still stand that a 77 was a fair effort considering it sits on a 83 without a troll review yet.

But to anwser your question so i can move on from this, i would say an 81 for its lowest and a 83 for its highest score.

They definitely did a good job building the relationship between Trico and the kid. It's truly a beautiful game. Big cons? What reviewers said. Framerate is awful in areas with a lot of grass, controls and camera are horrible, PS2 era.

A game that has a terrible camera, flooty controls and an awful framerate in some areas should never get 8 perfect scores. This is why I can't take gaming critics seriously anymore. They're just not doing their job and that is being critical. IGN posted a decent review and showed video evidence of their criticisms yet almost half the people disliked the video because it didn't correspond with the preconceived notions they had about the game. This is why many review sites are afraid to post negative reviews because of the amount of backlash they'll receive. This doesn't happen with movie critics. Gamers need to grow the fuck up. And yes, I'm aware that there are also sites that post negative reviews on purpose for the clicks, but they're a minority.

And while the story is nice, it's gameplay that should matter first. It's not like the story is on the level of Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away anyway.

(And before this turns into a console war, it happens to games across all platforms).

Agreed, TLG should get perfect scores from everyone, not just 8.

Zelda OOT ran at 20fps and 17fps (PAL) btw.

Really the best we could of hoped for after that disastrous development. Still, it's a shame it took 11 years for the Shadow of the Colossus successor and it won't hold even a candle to that game (or Ico).

Yep, but we're in 2016. I still think that it's a beutiful game, original and with a truly beautiful relationship between charactees. But it could never be more than a 9 because controls are frustrating as hell.

They're not, they were more frustrating in SOTC tbh. SOTC is the only Ueda game i'd score less than perfect.

That's 'cause you suck.

Hey it does some things (dat OST tho) better than ICO and TLG but what can I do, the issues people complain about in TLG hurt my experience with SOTC more than the other games. Framerate, camera and controls were more important because of the action requirements compared to the other two. Logic isn't all that different from when in Souls games the framerate tanked when rolling through a bunch of barrels in relative safety vs framedrops when certain effects happened during boss fights. One was fine, the other wasn't.

I remember them being better, but I'm not sure, I played it 10 years ago, so... But they seemed fine in that era. Frustrating like some PS2 games. But TLF controls seem really outaded now. Specially when you unlock more complex orders later in the game.
