Sony announced this game was available at PSX Saturday. I hadn't really been paying close attention to it. Well, I decided to give it a try and I wanna know...anyone else playing this game?! I'm having a blast. It reminds me of Manhunt, only with a Japanese twist to it. I can't believe this is free. I guess there are microtransactions somewhere in it, but I'm on the 3rd level of the tower and haven't come across needing them so far. It's just so much fun. Duel wielding a firework shooter and a circular saw. Finding clothes to equip off of dead bodies. Bloody deaths. The combat is very satisfying. Even has RPG elements to the weapon skills and your character. Uncle Death is a fun character, too.
My only complaint, so far, is actually my own fault. I'm just used to hitting the touch pad to go to the menu and/or pause a game, I keep hitting it by mistake. See, you collect mushrooms and little ceatures to use as health. If you hit the left side of the pad, you go into throw mode. But, if you hit the right, like I keep doing, you eat whatever is selected. Kinda wasting my health powerups. I even ate an exploding mushroom by mistake, which didn't quite kill me, so it was pretty funny.
If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.
