Knack is, arguably, the greatest game I have ever played; better than Dark Souls, Chrono Trigger, Planescape, FF6, Zelda, Metroid Prime. It deserves to sell better than Mario Switch, which will probably just be another rehashed Mario game that scores in the 50s on Metacritic, just like Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.

It seems early to say, but I think Mario has a better chance of selling better than Knack 2. Despite being on a poor selling console and the Mario games being rather uninteresting, they still sold quite well. With the Switch having a much better chance at selling and if the Mario seems as great as shown on the reveal trailer, I think it'll do rather well. Meanwhile, Knack has a lot to improve on to have a shot at surpassing a Mario game.

No competition!

I'm sure both games will just be a rehash of what was before. Mario is extremely overrated....it hasn't been innovative in a long time....yet praised as if so. Knack isn't anything special either, besides being a family friendly game like Mario. Don't think either deserve to sell millions upon millions. But since Mario is more well known.....it'll obviously sell more 🙄

Oh my, how the mighty have fallen.

Most games aren't as innovative as you are led to believe though! I see people always talking about new IP this and that but games are just borrowing heavily from whatever is the most popular series at the moment. It's why everything is so open world, RPG-ish with shooter elements these days... 

I don't see the need for comparison. Mario is going to kill Knack II, especially if Switch is $250 and Mario Switch returns to a collect-a-thon style game.

Knack 2 looks more of the same. Not sure there's much appetite for a sequel actually. Just because game with low reviews is profitable doesn't mean a sequel will be. I think Knack 2 is a risky move. But perhaps as they seem to be using pretty much the same assets to make the game, they are only spending a few $million and the game will make a profit with fairly modest sales.

Not surprising. Like how Minecraft is the most selling game on the PSVita.........
