Too much power can lead to dangerous things. Sony is the Trump of the gaming industry. Too powerful and morally despicable to uneducated white males. I want a gaming company to behave morally above others like the Pope and Mormons. With switch they do so by creating a family friendly environment where power comes from superior belief systems and not power that divides people like Mr. Trump. Nintendo is the true one that can make America great again.

WTF. Also I have grown up around Mormons. They have always been the most genuine and kind people I ever met as a general rule. What a bizzare comment.

Important enough that it can run BotW at a stable 1080p/30fps or 720p/60fps with anti-aliasing and good draw distance.  Hell, I'd settle for 720p/45fps.

Only in the sense that it's powerful enough to have third parties interested in making games for it.

This.  If it's getting third party games, I don't really care if they're running at 720 or 1080.

The Switch is more powerful than Nintendo's last home console, is portable and has games on cartridge. And it is a home console too. What's not to like?

3rd party games being trash on it.

Other than that, wondering how good a new Metroid or Xenoblade COULD have been.

Beyond that not a thing. If Nintendo fans are cool with getting a product that is $250, and paying for a screen and a battery they really didn't want or NEED included in the cost, then on top of that having to pay for a pro controller because the Switch puppy head looks uncomfortable and doesn't have a proper Dpad then dope. I just hope they have a decent library of NEW software first year.

Keep in mind, this isn't the first time I've hated Nintendo hardware and loved the gen in whole. The Wii takes the cake on that.

Third party games will be trash on Switch? Some third parties are making Switch exclusive games right now. Mario x Rabbids anyone? As far as the Switch being the first true hybrid gaming system that means yes, it has a screen and battery. For the cost of one system you are getting two, a decent powered home console and a crazy powered portable. Having multiple controller options is a huge plus. Having so many Wii U ports is just smart business sense on Nintendo's part because very few people played those games. Maybe when Nintendo has their full reveal you will change your mind.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Switch FC: SW-0398-8858-1969

Naah. It's not gonna provide cutting edge graphics anyways, so no use stressing about what little it has.

I'm only buying it cuz I'm addicted to Nintendo games. I wish Nintendo would go multiplat >.>

Where 's the "I hate it but still will be forced to buy" poll option?

Power is important for developers, not for consumers. Developers are what make a game run like shit, not the power. The Switch can do every game 1080p60 locked easily. The problem is developers don't want to do that, they don't want to make their games look like shit. So once again performance will lose against graphics. And if performance loses, gamers lose.

Breath of the Wild already has anti-aliasing on Wii U, so it's highly unlikely the Switch version will lack it.

However, I very much doubt it will run higher than 30fps on Switch. A more stable 30fps than Wii U is most likely.

Not really. It's going to be powerful enough for me anyway unless Nintendo really screws up, and I don't think that's just possible. That said, it must be powerful enough for others as well (especially developers), and that's what I'm worried about. If it's not powerful enough for others, it'll have a tougher time getting games, which in turn is bad for me as well.

Power isn't really important to me, so no. However, for most people, it likely will.

Dodging the point. Exclusives of course will be fine, but multiplats are gonna be trash.

Next point, you aren't really getting two consoles in one, you're getting a powerful handheld that can connect to a tv, and in turn the people who simply wanted a stronger home console now not only have to deal with a slightly more power Wii U for 5 years, and have to pay for pieces of a console that weren't wanted. Beyond that stating it's a decent powered home console is off mark.

Having multiple controller options is good. Every console ever has had multiple controller options. It's having a bad in box controller that sucks, and even if you hated the wii u controller, this is the same controller out the box, but smaller grips and a bad d pad. It took something people didn't like and made it far worse. The buttons being directly above/below the analog sticks also screams bad design.

Last, having wii u ports may be a smart move.... We'll see, but it also gives me no incentive to buy.
