It's not fact, it's  speculation. They are likely to give Switch major releases, and it's likely those titles will sell badly and developers stop releasing future titles.

No, Switch list of partners and supporters is a fact, not speculation, lol. They will keep supporting Switch if Switch actually has solid sales and not terrible like Wii U.

The list of partners is real, major 3rd party releases is you speculating, lol.

Not really.
If I´m buying it someday will be to play some nintendo games only.
Since I´m only interested in a couple nintendo games, I´d actually like a very cheap box with a regular controller. The way it stands though, it´s the worst scenario for me since it will likely be not only underpowered but also not really cheap ($250 or more without a decent gamepad). Dat handheld tax.

Yes because i want the 1st party games to look as good as possible.

I said for list that is a fact, and of course that is very realistic to expect that some 3rd party will release some major 3rd party game, even Wii U had few of them..

Very much, I need them to replace old PS2s to guide missiles and avenge good ol' Saddam.

Only if it is used by third parties as an excuse not to publish games on it.

On a certain extent, yes, because some companies may continue to deny bringing their most famous franchises to the system if it´s not powerful enough
But... if the Switch can offer a library of games similar to what the 3ds offer(ed), and companies continue to bring franchises like Yokai Watch, Monster Hunter, Layton, Ace Attorney etc., then power won´t be a big deal. The fact that Nintendo merged both handheld and home console development teams into one a year or so ago may point to a huge offer of good 1st party games.

It all comes to the games, in the end.

does it matter at this point? Just click on the link lol

It's not that Switch is actually any more powerful for its time though. Just as Wii U was about 10% the power of its strongest rival, the standard PS4, Switch looks to be about 10% as strong as its strongest rival, Scorpio.

Now we beginning to go in circles...yes but XB1/PS4 are still this gen consoles that are staying on market they are not last gen console that will be replaced, and Switch power offcourse will be compare to them also.

Switch isn't launching alongide PS4 and Xbone though, it is launching alongside Scorpio and Pro. Wii U was part of the 2012-2013 hardware cycle, Switch is part of the 2016-2017 hardware cycle, and both look to have about the same power gap compared to the other systems in their cycle.

However, that doesn't mean the visual gap will be the same; Pro and Scorpio look to be wasting most of their extra power on resolution boosts that deliver diminishing returns, so if Switch doesn't make the same mistake and focusses on delivering optimum detail/shaders/effects/etc at 720p or even 900p, then the perceptual gap could indeed shrink even if the actual power gap remains consistent. If Switch shoots for 1080p though, much of its power will be wasted just in achieving that.

But none of that matters though. Fact is, Switch will be launching alongside consoles that are just as far ahead of it as PS4/Xbone are ahead of Wii U. So the gap has not changed.

Wii U at 176 Gflops vs 1.84 Teraflops PS4 = x 10 performance advantage for the PS4.

Switch at 600 Gflops? vs 4.2 Teraflops PS4pro = x 7 performance advantage for the PS4pro.

The gap has been reduced, abit.

The gap between Switch and Scorpio looks to be about the same as between Wii U and PS4 though, while the gap from Switch to PS4 Pro looks to be about the same as from Wii U to Xbox One.

How that power will be used, however, is another matter entirely; see the latter half of my post above.

But every game made for the Scorpio HAS to also work on the standard Xbox One. Same with every game made for the PS4 Pro, it HAS to also work on the standard PS4. So bringing the Pro and Scorpio into this discussion is mute point. Every game will have a standard version so that is where you look at the power difference. The gap between Switch and standard PS4 and standard Xbox One is small.

But by the same token those same games will all have to have a Pro/Scorpio mode. It's only natural to compare Switch to systems releasing around the same time, rather than to systems that released over three years earlier.

Nintendo do have an opportunity to narrow the perceived gap, however, if they don't chase resolution to the detriment of other graphical elements, like Sony has with Pro and MS looks set to do with Scorpio.
