how small ?

casue if games will be lessor on standart PS4/X1 how realistacly well do you think they would run on hardware twice as weak or even weaker.

Smaller than the gap between Wii and Xbox 360/PS3.

Yet big enough that any port will suck ninty fans will bitch and disown it while the sales suck so the dev pulls Swith support and ninty fans bitch they were agianst nintendo from the start?   Pretty much that ehh.

But Nintendo is even later in the market than the already outdated platforms. I don't think many developers will want to adjust their engines for even lower specs and especially a quite different architecture.

If you don't like the Switch don't buy one. There will be more systems for the rest of us at launch. Pretty much every one buys a Nintendo system to play Nintendo's first and second party games. If you want to play the big AAA multi plat games get a PS4/Xbox One. Thats what most people do. The only Nintendo systems that had every game on them were 30 years ago. The Switch is not your daddy's Nintendo system.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

You will not get console quality 3rd party support if it is weaker than PS4 / X1.
And it is much weaker. So nearly all the 3rd party support will stem from Android / IOS quality ports which also means that Skyrim and Dark Souls will release on these mobile platforms soon.

Correct. And there are some game analysist that are claiming this generation of game consoles is the last. Everything is going mobile. I think Nintendo is making an excellent decision making a mobile device for their next gaming system. Watch Sony come out with a mobile based system with the PS5.

Japanese maybe, and  short lived western support at best.

And while it may not directly be the point, the power gap is essentially only important due to that will be the deciding factor for third party. In that case this is directly associated. Even if it is closer to the PS4 and Xbone than Wii to PS3 (which sure, but PS4 is a last gen console) it doesn't matter.

You dont know that, if you look at list of Nintendo partners and supporters you can definitely expect some major 3rd party games. If Switch become popular and sell good (and most likely it will), certanly support want be short lived like for Wii U.

Point is that power gap betwine Switch and XB1/PS4 will not be big like Wii compared to PS3/Xbox360 or Wii U compared to XB1/PS4, and Switch has very modern hardware, architecture and tech, so porting will be easier than it was for Wii and Wii U, all that makes things easier for porting games compared to Wii and Wii U. PS4 is current gen console not last gen.

Considering people were buying them at that price the official one is irrelevant. And next holidays season it will only get cheaper.
Anyway I digress. I am just arguing the fact that dockless, batterless, screenless switch should be able to reach 150$. Not that I think it would be a good idea to make one. It would only confuse both developers and customers.

Its relevant, because you can't compare official price and unofficial, we dont know at what prices and deals Switch will sell next holiday season, thats why  you can only compare only ofical prices, not deals on one side and ofical price on other side.

It doesn't really matter, while Switch is designed to be hybrid, and making basically different type of hardware with built in dock, without screen and battery, without detachable controls...definitely isn't something Nintendo planning to do. Actually far more bigger chances are that Nintendo later will just release Switch without dock and Joy Con Grip just for handheld playing, dont forget that Nintendo on Switch is looking on first place like home console, they basicly said "portable home console".

You seem to be speculating just as much as I am. But when these major third parties are better in graphics and performance on cheaper systems on userbases far bigger, it's not hard to find yourself  coming to the same conclusion as myself.

I no more know they are leaving than you know they are coming.

No, I gave you clear fact, list of partners and supporters for Switch, and of course some of them will release some major 3rd party games. XB1/PS4 official prices are $299, Switch will most likely have official price of $249, so most likly they will not be cheaper systems. I dont know on what conclusion do you think.

I didn't understand your last sentence.

yes, because if it has zero power, the games will surely suck...

It's not fact, it's  speculation. They are likely to give Switch major releases, and it's likely those titles will sell badly and developers stop releasing future titles.

No, Switch list of partners and supporters is a fact, not speculation, lol. They will keep supporting Switch if Switch actually has solid sales and not terrible like Wii U.
