I'll agree with you on one of them and that being Zelda, the other two....

 

Metroid and Xenoblade are like b-movies. You'll be lucky to get new games in the future for both thats for sure and good ones at it as well. There's a reason why you got Metroid Federation Force instead of Metroid Prime 4.

There's going to be Metroid and Xenoblade for Switch. In fact, there's a rumored XenobladeX port coming, unlike the irrelevant 3DWorld.

And it did it on a console with one of the worst install bases of any big company's console ever. Splatoon 2 on Switch that fixes up the online aspect to better compete with modern online features has the potential to be a full blown sales phenomenon. This franchise could be their next Pokemon if they play it right.

Say what you will about Wii U's sales, but it has to be the console with the most impressive attach rates for its top selling games ever. 6 games will sell 5m+, one of those has an absolutely insane attach rate of 60% without being a bundle title. Compare that to three 5m+ games on the GCN which moved almost twice as many systems, and 5 on the N64 which moved almost 3x as many systems.

Source for the new xenoblade news unless you mean that other game that isn't called xenoblade.

A new metroid has been asked but it's obvious that Nintendo has no interest in developing a AAA metroid.

I am talking about Mario series overall - not just 3D world. Besides any 3D Mario game would be better than a 2d old Mario bros game which again would still sell and be more popular than metroid and xenoblade combined.

 

hell just to keep on topic - splatoon outsold both xenoblade games combined! Splatoon deserves to be recognized far more than overrated xenoblade.

And the Wii Series outsold Splatoon. Yet I don't see anybody saying those are better than Splatoon.
