Too bad the right-wing lost in Austria, now the left can continue with it's insane open borders policy.

A sad day for Europe.

The Germans and the Austrians nowadays believe it's the duty of the white man to sacrifice himself in order to take care of all the world's problems.

It's disgusting really.

I was expecting it to be close, but eh. I think they may also lose in France, but its definently going to be someone on the right for sure.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Following that link they talk about a vote as big as Brexit that'll rock Europe.

Mind telling us here Barney*

What are they voting on, like.. it's a referendum yes, but for what.

After a fast google / wiki

for parlament reform in Italy, Okay, so it's nothing like Brexit then, first Trump now this shit, I swear I'm going to be putting on dinner later, will be Chicken or Fish THAT CHOICE COULD ROCK THE WORLD LIKE BREXIT!!!! It's becoming the new 9/11 term to be thrown around to mean "something is happening, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEWS! CLICKBAIT"

Of course it matters. This is a lash against the EU. It could seen insignificant from one referendum, but understand Italy is the 4th (soon to be 3rd) largest country in the EU. This referendum is going to be another crack in the system, and with the elections in France and Germany next year, 2017 is going to be just as big.

It's a change in EU that might lead on far down the line to something which still will not be as big as Brexit, hence me saying that using the term when it comes to this is clickbait. (you didn't use the term but it's immediately there on the top of the first link you have), much like Trump also is not Brexit, it's just boring to hear that term being used to try to bring attention to things which do not matter as much as it did. Hence the 9/11 comparison.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Well long-term certainly matters. Its just another thing the political establishment has to deal with, and enough blows can be significant. Of course it isn't as significant as brexit, but the possibiltiy of electing a far-right leader in Austria and going against the EU in one can is a big deal. Of course the far-right lost the election in Austria, so now my eyes are on the referendum.

We now have so damn many in the fifth column (socialists and an ever increasing number of immigrants) that it becomes extremely hard to gain over 50% in the national elections in most Western nations. Damn it. It's easy to lose hope.

Whenever we win, the main priority must be to close the borders entirely in order to prevent even more disloyal people from becoming part of our societies.

This was the mistake of the traditonal right wing parties all over the West, they were too fucking occupied with economical matters and didn't care about the future. Now the only hope lies with the nationalist/populist parties.

I live in Italy, the Referendum isn't really important for the EU but what will follow might indeed cause trouble: If the No wins then our PM Matteo Renzi (Left) is likely to leave meaning that Anti-EU partys such as Lega Nord (far right, quite racist) and Movimento 5 Stelle (central, divulgates fake news via the Internet to gain popularity) might be leading the country afterwards.
tbh the Referendum is only good for Italy, it reduces the number of senators, with a yearly gain of 50M € for Italy, it abolishes a public autorithy that never did anything and that costs 10M $ each year, moreover it overcomes the perfect bicameralism which exists only in our country and slows down the production of new laws which, added to our extremely slow burocracy makes approving even the simplest of laws extremely long

But it also prevents the EU from bypassing the constitution of Italy is that correct (if a no vote happens)? I can make stupid mistakes, so tell me if I'm wrong lol. Either way, its going to be important as it causes more political turmoil across Europe.

Honestly I don't recall what specifically was changed regarding the EU because it was just one article of the constitution that had to be changed because it was made before Italy even made the EU and I only read the changes to the constituciton back in September since I'm 17 and I can't cast my vote. Anyway if the No wins it isn't an automatical harakiri for Europe since tecnically Matteo Renzi could mantain his role as PM and, even if he left, PD (Left party) is still one of the most popular in the country

Exactly what applies to Canada. Everyone wants more immigration, even the conservatives. No party will ever change their mind on that, and over time we're going to see this race to attract immigrants for votes. Very sad indeed. France is definently going to end up with Fillon or Marine Le Pen, and thats better than Hollande.

The media has lately been very picky with the kind of news they decide to show. Do you remember that scandal in South Korea that revealed that the president of the country was secretly influenced by a shaman of sorts to favour different groups and associations (no joke, this is happening, just search 2016 Korean Rasputin Scandal)? In Spain I have not seen any major news outlet (both TV, radio and newspapers) dedicate this any kind of important attention, at the most it's just mentioned briefly and move on with whatever corrupt politician or football player they decide to focus that week.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Renzi will probably resign, just like with Cameron (he even said he would). But I guess we'll wait and see.

Yes, how naive can you be as a liberal-right or conservative political party? Isn't it clear by now that immigration always benefits the leftist vote. At least all leftists in the West are extremely aware of the fact that immigrants, no matter how religiously conservative their cultural background happens to be, will always benefit the left in elections.

Italy was a 20 point loss
