Get a AMD RX 480 to go with it, and enjoy that FreeSync :)

Freesync is a open standard that anyone is allowed to use.

Nvidia choose not to do so, because they want people buying G-Sync instead.

So yes, it only works with AMD.

Hmm good to know, then I better get a monitor with G-Sync then.

No point in getting a free sync monitor with no AMD card and why get a 7ms monitor anyway?
Also ultrawide is extremely underutilized in games.
But, even after all of those negatives the price is really good on it for the size and features.

Gsync is really overpriced, honestly I wouldn't bother. my friend has the ROG Swift 1440p 144hz Gsync monitor and it didn't impress me at all. It felt no different from any other standard 1ms 144hz monitor. At those types of refresh rates Screen tearing is near nonexistant.

Ugh... definitely not my taste. No ergonomic adjustments possible, cable setup is missing and that monitor stand looks like a joke.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

Dont worry too much about if its 7mn or 5mn or whatnot.
Dont go ultra wide (I didnt even notice that at first).
If you have nvidia and your getting a new monitor make sure it supports G-sync (screen tearing is a b*tch)

glad I made this thread. thanks yall, this was really helpful.
