All the exclusive games they showed at psx won't be here for a while pretty much and will be 2018 at the EARLIEST. They always end up delayed or what not. Microsoft has deliver one of the best racers, sand box game, fighting game, third person and first person shooter. This year alone we gotten Quantum Break, Killer Instinct season 3, Forza Horizon 3, Gears 4, Recore and soon Dead Rising 4. That is pretty good and a lot better in my opinion than Sony had to offer this year. I liked uncharted 4 a lot , but didn't care for sf5 due to lack of content and terrible netcode/delay. Not sure how TLG is going to be, but it looks rather disappointing to be quite honest. And yes I know a lot of the xbox games are on the PC as well, but a lot of people don't view pc machines as viable gaming machines.

2018 seems perfectly fine. Uncharted's dlc is coming soon, Horizon is in first quarter and last of Us will most likely drop in 2018.

Over half the things they showed comes out next year lol

Kind of like how Uncharted 4 was supposed to release in early 2015, tlg suppose to release during the mid ps3 era, bloodborne was suppose to be a 2014 title. I will believe it when I see it. Sony does this thing all the time. The only AAA games I think Sony are releasing next year is Horizon.

If you look at it just Xbox, then yes, but MS is Xbox and PC, in which case I feel they right now delivering the best out of the three.

They are, but truthfully, was 2005 through 2008 any different in third party development quality from Microsoft? Sure...Halo and Gears are developed solely by in-house studios now, but has anything truly changed?

sure. its worse. 2005-2008 was the xbox 360 golden years to me. They snagged GTA4, somehow got sakaguchi to make Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, and 360 had awesome Japanese support with games like 99 Nights, Ninja Gaiden, DOA, and pulled off a miracle and got FFXIII onto the 360. There was a concerted effort to make Xbox into more than a shooter box in the first few years. It was a splendid machine (if you ignore RRoD)

I'm thinking that this is opposite world where Xbox One actually finishes better than it started. But they do need to court Japanese support. At the very least show that they can sell enough copies in the west for justification.

A Dlc and one AAA games from Gurellia games which I found all their games except for one (killzone 2, I liked that game a lot) just average/above average.

MS will have Halo wars 2 (rts), Sea of theives(mmo game), Scale Bound (rpg game), Forza 7 (sim racer), Killer Instinct season 4 and probably more I'm not thinking about. You can argue if it is better than Sony lineup or not, but they are putting out their fair share of games. I find it actually more funny Nintendo fans here will defend the wii u and nintendo to death despite not having as many exclusives as xbox and wii u dosesn't even get third party support.

Next year for Xbox Ian looking better but this year and Last have been B pretty much the reason . While Horizon is great.....and Gears Is ok......Recore was a big fail of an open world.....and QB need to flesh their ideas out. Last year it was Forza again....and Halo. They have the opposite problem of Playastion (even though they still release there Japanese games last half) and the first 8 months of the year is extremely dry 3 years in a roll.
QB the only exclusive for the first 8 months this year....(KI isn't a new game..it's DLC)
2015 I believe only had KI DLC in the first 7 months of the year

Eventhough Killer Instinct season 3 wasn't a new game it was way better than SF5. In fact for a dlc it was comparable in content to SF5. SF5 only got decent reviews because of brand name. Take away the brand name it would've been lucky to get a 50 on metacritic.

Totally agree. At this point Sony has more first party/exclusives that look superior and gets the same third party AAA titles as Xbox One. The genres Sony has is also much more varied. I wouldn't say Sony's first party output is as good as Nintendo's yet but if we compared the PS4's first party output until the end of its lifecycle to the Wii U's I would estimate it comes out on top(although the Wii U's life was cut short due to poor sales and the fact that Sony tend to prefer longer console lifespans than Nintendo). Microsoft in my opinion cannot compete with either Sony or Nintendo's first party output and gets less AAA titles than the PS4 so there isn't really an area where they excel(my opinion).

See this is what I don't get. What AAA games did Nintendo release this YEAR that outdid Sony or Microsoft in terms of exclusives? Not to mention xbox one and ps4 has third party support.

Microsoft puts all of their faith in third party. Eventually when the budget gets tight beyond the halfway mark you will see the third party exclusives dwindle. They arent winning either like last gen, so they wont have the same pull.

Sony doesnt have to have a better lineup now. They will in the end. Why? They can make their own new IP's. By the end of this gen, I guarantee you Microsoft would've lost 2/3 of the halo fanbase that they had circa 2008. I just recently became a Halo fan, but I am talking about the bigger picture.  Much in the same vein as EA and Activision, Microsoft milks franchises they are solely depended upon. Sony is the only company that doesnt have this dependent atittude and this is why you see them every gen increasing their new IP count by leaps and bounds. Microsoft can only really pay to pad out their exclusives, but when it comes right down to it, After Gears and Halo take a break, who will take the mantle?
