It's scary to think some people actually think like this.

So they mentioned stuff in the post show discussion with Neil and the actors about TLoU 2 and something about 1.5 years ago. It seemed to indicate this has been in development for that long. Anyone know whether this is true? Or how long it actually HAS been in development?

I'm actually really happy to have an Uncharted game with Chloe, I missed her in UC4.

Hes probably amoung a very very little group, that think that way.

The way I saw it, PSX opened strong with a new Uncharted standalone, and ended strong with TLoU2.

Naughty dog are the hero's of that show.

Most definitely, I still can't believe how good TLOU2 looked.

Naughty Dog seems to be a bit of an oddity these days. What used to be two full teams now seems like one and change; the same leads multitasking on overlapping projects. When Uncharted 4 was entering postproduction TLOU2 was probably entering preproduction. It likely started principal production some time this year. 1.5 years of development so far sounds possible, and by the time it releases in 2018 or 2019, it should have had what you could call a 3-4 year development cycle (similar to the first game).

They said they filmed it 1.5 years ago. I dunno what that means for the rest of development, though.

I'm actually pretty excited for this. I found the gameplay in TLOU to be a bit underwhelming, and even frustrating at times, but the story and characters are some of the best I've seen in any videogame. I was unsure how they could possibly make a satisfying sequel, but this trailer... wow. It gives me more than a little hope.

According to someone on Reddit Gustavo Santaolalla (composer for the game) also said on a radio show in Buenos Aires that the game is releasing late 2018.
