Physical or Digital?

Digital Display (Ready For The World) 66 22.22%

Let's Get Physical (Olivia Newton-John) 204 68.69%

All I Really Want Is To B... 27 9.09%

Total:297

I like to own physical media, as I can lend it out or sell it later. Prices are often lower too. Also, I grew up going to the game store, reading the back of the box, and carrying my new game home. I still enjoy that process.

Digital media is much more convenient though. I don't have to worry about swapping out game disks, storing those disks, etc. I do occasionally buy digital games now, if I am totally confident that I'll want to own that game for at least several months, or the game is cheap and would have little resale value anyway.

If there were a way to temporarily (lend) and permanently (sell) transfer your license to digital game software, I would probably make the switch completely.

PC digital since we dont have to pay a fee for cloud saves and etc. Also generally cheaper at launch from sites like greenmangaming

Console physical since amazon prime has 20% off

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Music SACD or CD
Movies 4KUHD blu ray Blu ray
Games whatever is cheapest.

I prefer the media with the highest quality over others, simple as that. If games will become significantly faster if I download them it's goodbye physical media.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

There is still a necessity for both.

Games I will not be reselling are Digital (unless theres a badass collectors edition.)

Games not worth keeping will be traded, so physical copies will be needed in that case. Sometimes the sales are better at brick and mortar stores than on Playstation or Xbox. Whoever has the best deal will most likely have my money.

When it comes to games I wanna own them physically for some reason, while I haven't bought a CD for like 6 years and haven't bought a DVD for almost as long. It's weird, but I'm quite satisfied with what Netflix and Spotify has to offer.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Wow, 70-20 ratio for physical, on a site that mass consumes games with plenty having decent internet. Kinda puts damper on those 40% digital attach ratios people like to throw around to prop up under performing games.

I've been buying VR games digitally since 90% of them aren't in stores. I still bought RIGS, Eagle flight and Robinson physically even though they were slightly cheaper online. It's a shame Rez Infinite wasn't available in stores. Paying CAD 40 for a digital version was definitely worth it, but I hardly ever pay that much for digital.

The only retail games I've bought digitally this year are DC VR and Just Dance 2017. Both half the price of physical (50% for season pass owner, and JD17 $20 on BF) JD17 won't be worth shit next year, and DC I'll never resell or uninstall anyway.

I prefer physical, but I'm fine with going digital for some games.

I'm a collector so physical. I keep seeing digital games taken down, many of them releases of old games you can't buy anywhere else. Pisses me off.

When it comes to games, physical will always be the best way to go. Period

Physical for sure, tho I don't mind getting digital stuff, for instance all the comics I buy are digital.
