Wasn't all that hyped for the game from the first view of gameplay, but after watching this, I can feel it growing on me a bit. That and some of the weapons look pretty interesting as well as powers.

This game is going to fail, another Evolve and Battleborn, I usually have a very good hunch about these things.

It's coming in a crowded market full of great shooters released this year, and doesn't look special.

I don't see it failing that much tbh, hunch or not. I've seen other shooters survive on PC than with consoels where it's either just CoD or BF.

I think it looks pretty decent in terms of Art style. We need more shooters putting focus on their own unique art style than just nitty gritty realism a la CoD/BF.

Gameplay element looks solid... however Im not sure if thats enough.
Overwatch is a giant that just swallows every other hero shooter out there.

So is this like a Overwatch like game?

In a way, though it's spin is you being able to manipulate gravity and land some neat skill shots or just have some silly fun.

OW is top dog, but each genre has it's top dog. The game will find it's niche, providing that Cliff stays on point and puts focus on what he wants the game to be, not what OW is.

Yeah that Gravity effect, and the long jumping ect... thats what makes it stand out.
In part it kinda reminded me a little bit of unreal tournament, I hope it can be popular enough to stand on its own.

To me, that's the part that makes it stand out more than what Gearbox did with Battleborn.

Also Cliff really, really needs to learn from GB and not repeat the mistake they made of slagging off via their marketing/Twitter, because BB got stiomped silly by OW and made all that slagging look silly af and empty.

There is another UT game coming out, but that game has decided to focus on "heroes" of their own" =/.

To be fair, the unconventional shooter market is filling up pretty fast. And they have also to compete with the already established classic military FPS market to boot. The only way for a game like this to keep its healthy userbase (something esential for these games to even function) is being either the popular, trend-setting ones (Overwatch, Splatoon, PvZ...) or being free to play (Team Fortress 2, Evolve .2...). If you are neither of them, you'll lose your userbase pretty fast and become abandoned in months, just look at Battleborn.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Dont mention Evolve at all, that game is pretty much dead.

Didn't Evolve get a decent boost after going FTP?
