I remember when Doctor Who was a brilliantly written sci fi show many, many eons ago. Any of you kids ever heard of Tom Baker? Robert Holmes?

Yep, Tom Baker run as the Doctor was great. He has some iconic scenes and moments, and the writing was spot on. I still have shivers each time I see that Genesis of the Daleks scene.

About the new run, I definitely prefer the Moffat run to the first 4 seasons. Season 5, 6 and 9 were brilliant imo. Season 7 and 8 were messy, but we still had the bloody brilliant Day of the Doctor special. That was sooo good. Gimme Matt Smitt or Capaldi over Tennant every day. I can agree on the notion that the show got more "fairitaily" on Moffat's run. But I think that was a nice and different change of tone. Capaldi acting skills are surely the best of the three of them. That speech on the Zygon episodes and the entire Heaven Sent was ace.

Oh, one year later I still think new Who season 9 is the best in the history of the show, and a briliant return to form. I'm excited as hell about season 10. And I'm ready to be dissapointed when Chibnall becomes the new showrunner. His writing on Who was mediocre at best. Don't miss Torchwood's Cyberwoman. That was godammn awful.
