Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump Hires Goldman Sachs/Soros Backed Mnuchin As Treasury Secretary

This board spent several months trashing Clinton for things like ties to Goldman Sachs and Soros, so the idea that Trump's treasury secretary being beholden to both getting a pass is laughable.

Hell yes it deserves a thread. He has a full mandate to choose whoever he wants, and this is his choice.

Why doesn't he appoint Ron Paul? Oh wait, that would make too much sense.

I wonder how many more months it will take until Clinton supporters come to accept that they've lost. VGC is getting an awful lot of "See, Trump is evil!" threads lately.

That will probably stop when southerners realize they lost 150 years ago and stop hoisting the Conferederate battle flag.

Ah, nice, generalizations.  Always nice to see.

So basically what we have learned is that if you can get enough people angry, they will do whatever you want. And then after the fact, fuck them because if they were too dumb to figure you out, they will probably vote for you again anyway. You get to keep all of the bad stuff from Obama and you get to keep none of the good stuff. LOL!

Eventually someone is gonna admit that he won with race politics and nothing more.

Did anyone else notice the article is from May?

Synopsis of this "cabinet picking"

Trump picks someone not in the swamp and media cries out about the person having no experience.
Trump picks someone with experience and the media cries out about the person being in the swamp.

Here's me over here trying to ignore the media.

I think Hillary would have done the same.

The idea she would put Warren into Treasury sectary is laughable

Who has Trump picked that wasn't "in the swamp" (to use your (or his I guess) words).

I think its impossible to drain the swap and run a functional government.

Uh, guys, this is an article from May talking about who he put in charge of his campaign fundraising.  And yes, it was hypocritical back then, as well.  But, that's what you're going to get if you voted for either of these people, hypocritical BS.  I'll still give Trump the benefit of the doubt until he actual starts running things, but I don't have high hopes.
