Berry purportedly cures cancer. Sorry if it's already been discussed. I don't know much about this, it just sounds amazing. Thoughts?

I hope this turns out to do wonders for medicine. Cancer has killed enough amazing people, time for karma to kick in.

But I mean if this was a facebook video with the caption "cure for cancer" I would think it would have more than 5k views... heck if this was true and I put this video playing in my town as "cure for cancer" it would have more than this amount of views since last week, nevermind since September, I would think there is something going on here which means this video isn't really 100% truthful in it being a cure for cancer. Otherwise... would it not be being talked about online more? since Sept I mean. People at the ward I visit with a family member have not been celebrating/ talking about this either....

From Wiki page
In 2014 it was reported that EBC-46, an extract from the berry of the blushwood tree, was effective in more than 70% of cases of certain cancer situations destroying long-term cancers of the head, neck, and colon in animals as well as in a laboratory melanoma model.[5] Initial studies showed no evidence that it was effective in metastatic cancers.[5] Studies are ongoing to test the agent for human applications.
It's from 2014 even, so this isn't a "finally it's here now there is a cure" It's a "hey there is something with a certain type of cancer situation which can do certain things" not at all what was being portrayed in the video sadly.

You are just saying that because it's Hylandia which is clearly of Hylian origins.. *tsk tsk* way to make this political Ganon. Can we move this to the Nintendo Politics Section?
The have been loads of these cures for what ever in the past few decades but things remain the same, either they're not as effective as thought or curing cancer removes a large amount of income for some groups of people, take your pick.
I doubt there can be a cure for cancer that easy. It's highly complicated and it works on a genetic level. So many factors to account for.
Cancer cannot be grouped into one specific type. It's a multitude of permutations of mutated cells.
