Forums - PC Discussion - AMD Summit Ridge (Zen) CPU Pricing leaked

Let's just hope that this will push intel towards having more cores in their chips as well. 2 cores (even with hyperthreading) in their i3s are too low by now, and 4 cores for i5s have been the standard forever. Let's see some progress in the CPU space please.

Current rumors/leaks sugest that Coffee Lake (no I haven't made up that name), the successor of the upcoming Kaby Lake Intel processors, will feature 6 core in their mainstream parts.

It will arrive in 2018.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I like what I am seeing so far. Now I just need Microsoft to use these cores for the Scorpio APU, then they will have my support.

Awesome. I mean, intel mainstream --> still expensive af, but it's a step in the right direction for sure
