8.2 "Great"

Your point? That's IGN's interpretation of it, and that literally falls under what I just said. And if you really insist on using the word 'official' in a Metacritic thread, at least use Metacritic's interpretation and not a single site's interpretation.

that is not an "interpretitation". They assign their score and they are saying 8.2 means "Great" to them.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

So far if i was going to rate its below 10 but above 13

By the way, I was wondering if it was normal that the game lasted about... 10 hours to install. I'm not used to modern gaming yet.

If you think the Xbox One version will account for anyting more than 10 percent of FFXV sales:

LOL.  No really though.  Its going to be a blowout.  Which is really scary when you think about it because the sheer number of Xbox Ones in the US wont matter.  There is a REAL anti Japanese developer chord that flows through the blood of the Xbox Community.  Look at Recore... now I'm not saying that Recore was a good game.  I am saying that Scalebound like Recore before it are doomed to fail because they are Japanese games on an Xbox.  They don't support JRPGs.  Sure some will break with the community and get XV because its obviously a good game, but nothing short of it becoming a WRPG and redeveloped by people from the West will move Xbox gamers to take it seriously.    In the world where Xbox is the only console, Japanese developers cease to be.  That excites some in the Xbox community no doubt although I don't know how things got like this.

(Wright fails to deal with reality)

1.  Japanese people don't buy Xbox so the incentive for Japanese companies to make games on Xbox doesn't exist.

2. Games such as Final Fnatasy and Dragon Quest and ever other JRPG have a bigger following on PlayStation.  This is a fact and I refuse to argue with you over this.

3.Very contentious arguments have been made that Japanese developers have 'lost their way', or have been 'out done by Western devs' but in reality, there just isn't support for the Xbox One.  Not nearly as much Japanese support as the PS4 has.  This is also a fact.

4.If having support gives the PS4 a software advantage, it is the porogitive of some communities to belittle the content all together (In fact you are whteter you know it or not expected to follow this if you are a supporter of said community and 'thinking for yourself' or whatever he hell you call it really puts you out of compliance).  And as such a community has been fashined that believes that it is better for not having this content.  I am looking at this orthoginally.  Those who represent the community fanbase.

The facts are that Final Fantasy 15 and dozens and dozens of Japanese developed games would be doomed if their only chose for suppor was the Xbox One.

Nothing personal man.  Much love keep gaming!

Come on guys, on what planet is 84 a low score?

On metacritics, it's a bad score for Ff. Look at ff13 who have 83.

And it will fall to 80.

Don't know if posted yet but CGM gave it a perfect 10/10. It will be included on Metacritic although it's probably not going to have a big percentage boost. http://www.cgmagonline.com/reviews/final-fantasy-xv-ps4-review/

Not too bad.

This was never going to end up above 85. Expectations are too high. Even the reviewers come in 'expecting' a certain nostalgic feeling. Never going to happen like that. Maybe SE should just stop trying and focus on a new Jrpg without attaching the name FF.

I am a couple of hours in and can't wait to get back to my ps4 to play. But I also 'loved' Brotherhood and Kingsglaive as appetizers. Those got me really pumped to continue the story.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

Wait, I fail to deal with reality but you keep making a random case over points that I already mentioned and failed to give proof to back it up at all? Who's failing to deal with reality here?

1.- Japanese people DO buy Xbox, just not Xbox One as based on the numbers. I already said that Xbox 360 was considered at some point to be king of Shumps and naughty visual novels in Japan, and even gave you proof highlighting several companies like Cave. Heck, several japanese games were developed for Xbox One, like Psycho-Pass or Raiden V like I told you earlier. There's more, there's Earth Wars, Chaos;Child, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Shooting Love Trilogy, among others. There IS incentive in making these games, and you're failing to acknowledge it even though I basically pointed you at it.

2.- I admitted that these games have a bigger following on Playstation and that Microsoft failed to grasp such segment of market even though they tried hard. You fail to acknowledge the things I already said to somehow try to validate yours more, but it just comes across as you ignoring the points I make, since I wasn't even arguing this point. If you don't pay attention, I'm just really wasting my time here, but let's go on.

3.- Those "western" devs you so mention, which I can only think of Johnatan Blow and the FEZ dude (though you provide no source at all) also release games on Playstation. By extrapolation, I guess that also makes Playstation userbase a hater of japanese games, since western games sell much more?

4.- Just because a fanbase believes to be better or worse doesn't, in any way or shape, justifies a massive extrapolation like those you make. You're unique among that fanbase you like to point out, and for some reason you need to find validation in numbers rather than in thoughful, sourced arguments, which really doesn't cut it at all, sorry.

The fact is that several japanese games wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for Xbox (not Xbox One, but the Xbox ecosystem), that several japanese developers felt in love with Xbox and found success in it (Sourced it with Itakagi, to name an example), that some japanese developers know there's market in Xbox One and that's why I pointed you out to Nier: Automata, and while yes, it's probably that the japanese market would have to reshape a bit if Xbox was the only console (EDIT: heck, if suddenly all companies ceased to exist and only one remained, regardless of which one was it, the market would have to endure a big reshape), it neither means japanese developers would cease to exist nor that there's anti-hate japanese blood among the Xbox userbase. Nothing you've said so far demonstrates this idea

Nothing personal, either. Just pointing out how wrong your vision of it seems to me.

EDIT: I forget to mention the sentiment of Phil Spencer toward japanese developers and gaming, which is especially noteworthy given that he's the Head CEO of Xbox right now, but doesn't really matter much. Here's a pic of Noctis and Prompto to come back to the original thread, since some people have asked for some of these!

It's required to watch them?
