Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy XV SUCKS!!! :( :(

Button mashing sounds actually great. Every FF except for FFXII was button mashing so it makes me a bit more excited now.

The bad graphics and performance sucks but nothing I haven't predicted for over a year.

roflmao judging a RPG after only 1 hour.

What's the proper amount of time?

I mean, I'm hoping for the best. Maybe the part leading up to the demo will be more engaging and make the demo mode coherent. It looked bad and played kind of badly, though. Party members, summons, and customization my make all of the difference. I don't know.

We all want FFXV to be great but all we can judge is what we've experienced.

At least 5 hours.

There are so many RPGs I would have dropped had I judged them from the first few hours and those same games turned out to be some of my favorites.

And besides impressions on NeoGAF have been very positive from those who are far in the game.

that's a shame cause this will be my first final fantasy

Onionberry please go pick up FFX / X-2 HD remastered, and play that through.

Trust me :) it ll be worth it.

funny because I have that pack on pc, also final fantasy v and lightning returns. Sadly I don' have the time because then I don't have time to play other games :(

now I'm debating between watch dogs 2 or ff xv but I think wd2 can wait.

I dont think it's best to judge a JRPG after 1 hours, especially since FF games have roughly +50 hours of main story gameplay and +100 hours of completion. And usually the first 5-6 hours of the game are really slow and boring because they're trying to get the gamers to get a feel for controls and environment etc. Through my experience, if this were a PS1 game I wouldn't start to really get into it until the end of Disc 1.

Also, Square did say they're going to release a Day 1 Patch, so the bugs you may be experience might be fixed on the 29th. Now that I think about it, holding onto a patch is not a bad way to prevent people from selling/buying earlier than release date.

And yea I find American voice acting isn't the best in these situation which is why it's usually best played in its Japanese language with subtitles.

Your points could be very valid, but I think I need to wait and play for myself. Maybe when I first play it on launch after the patch it'll be smoother, and wont be annoying with the Japanese voice acting. So my first impression can be very different from yours.

I'll just have to wait and find out in a few days.

(I also wonder how much has changed when Tabata took over since I didn't mind Nomura at all with FF7,8,10.  Maybe it could've been better if Nomura kept at it under Versus XIII)

Is there a tldw? No time for a 7min vid that could be summed up in one sentence.

It's just him saying it sucks over and over again

Slowly

Between long pauses for dramatic affect

While performing camera work that ironically is sure to be worse than that in the game

Actualy the day one patch is already out. I downloaded some 7 gb before I could play the game.

You see this people? We have Vivster saying something sounds great. Is that not enough to convince you to at least give it a chance?

FF has always been the most polarizing game series in existence, so I hope people realize this thread carries less weight than an Ethiopian family. (not you, Klaudkil - I'm talking about the replies)

If you have it pre-ordered, then play the entire game before complaining about how much it sucks. All this doomsday talk before the game is even released WW smh. For every opinion like Klaudkil's you will find 2 or more saying that the game is good. In fact I can guarantee that we will have reaction threads sometime soon saying that the game was great.

If you want to get the most out of your gaming then go into this with an open mind. If you play it and agree then that's fine, but you can't let someone else confirm your inflated fears before you've even laid your hands on the finished game. That's not healthy!

@klaudkil: I'm not saying that you're wrong, in fact I believe you. But all I see ITT is bandwagon bashing. They're extrapolating your findings to the entire game, when they don't even know that they could find other aspects that they enjoy.

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Naturally, the beginning of the game is easy. As you go further in the game you will have to adapt to the different kinds of enemies.  The combat has so much to offer. Button mashing will not take you far. Isn't that the case with most games though? You are talking about the lack of challenge, not the varity of the combat. At this point, that doesn't sound like a well founded criticism.

I can't comment on the performance though, I'm playing on PS4 Pro xD

Hopefully when the game dosent receive the raving review Square was hoping for, they go back to what FF is supposed to be:High fantasy setting, and turn based battles.

When is the embargo going to be lifted?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

2 hours into the game and stopped.
Nothing changed and got bored.
Some dude telling me to( its not save go back to town and rest up" after 10times got annoying.

I play games without patches, patches suck(did download the 8gb patch :() Nothing changed.
