Please enlighten us with your Scorpio spec details. Im very interested to know how powerful the next Xbox will be..

It doesn't matter how powerful it is or isn't, it's not going to happen either way.

Care to explain?

People honestly think Square will take time and effort to bring 4K resolution to Scorpio 1 year after game came out, with Xbox sales likely accounting for 10% of sales or less?

Remember base game runs dynamic resolution from 765p to 900p, it wouldn't run in native 4K on Scorpio, no way.
Maybe 1800p-2160p (4K) dynamic resolution but if they were going to do it then 1440p 60 Fps would be the best option.

Think you completely forgot that money talks.

Its not hard to get a game running in 4k. Some PC indie games have 4k options.

While it may be true for PC games which are designed with all the resolutions and graphical options in mind on day one... it's not that way on consoles.

Otherwise explain why huge and great selling games like The Witcher 3 and GTA V didn't get PS4 Pro updates? GTA V sold 12 millions on PS4, Witcher 3 sold almost 4 million in retail for PS4. What about Batman Arkham Knight? And other big games.

All they would have to do is port better quality presets from PC version or just "lazy" 3200x1800 and Witcher 3 would already look much better on PS4.

Third party developers don't care for the most part, there are few 2015 games updated for PS4 Pro and 1 - 2014 Game (Shadow Of Mordor)

And that's PS4 we are talking about, the best selling console that always sells 2:1 or even 3:1 in third party games compared to Xbox. (See Witcher 3 for 3:1)

I don't think FFXV on Xbox One will sell 1 million copies, therefore don't count on Scorpio treatment.

Expect new games like RDR 2 to be ehnanced for Scorpio though.

Thats all speculation.

Nothing is stopping a weathy company like MS to fund a 4k version of FF15. If Sony wanted those high qaulity games in 4k like GTA5 than maybe Sony should pay for it. Those companies arent going to do things for free.

As for the Scorpio, it will launch with alot of hype behind it and games like FF15 might be great starters. We wont know.

We cant rule out these games reaching Scorpio on the base of sales. Money does the talking and if MS want them they will get them, same goes for Sony and Nintendo.

Yeah if you're waiting for the first true 4k ultimate edition wait 3/4 years for the ps5. But the game is great so you should just play it now on either the xb1 or the ps4.

well...if you got a ps4..i would say get it for the PS4 ...just saw a comparison and FFV looks a wee better on PS4 due to the better hardware.

Well, maybe it will just be 1900p or something on the Scorpio, but that is still quite decent.

Still a year worth of waiting...

PC port please?

I think that I'd never play a game like Final Fantasy XV twice. There's far too many games to keep up with. But I certainly couldn't bring myself to not explore and do everything in an RPG either.

I can't treat a first playthrough as a "gimped" playthrough, if I'm going to play the game, then I'm gonna play it.

"gimped"

What is gimped though. From what it sounds like the PS4/Pro both have fps issues. So you get less pixels on the One, yet you get a smoother experience.

Pick your poison I guess.

I wouldn't be worried either .

Just enjoy it on Xbox One, it runs smoother. The visual differences are not that significant, even on Pro.

This game really needs a proper PC port to shine its brightest. Squeenix has to have 4K/8K texture masters it could use.

I wasn't referring to performance, I was referring to playstyle.

"True 4k with HDR is the version i'll play with more exploration and time to take in the scenery. The first go-round will definitely be more story driven, than exploration based."

Not doing all side-quests and exploring everything isn't a propper playthrough for me.

watch a digitalfoundry video, the image is blurry as fuck on the xbox, and performance is the same, ps4 just has frame pacing issues, that's something entirely different from performance issues, the game runs at a rock solid 30fps on both, Bloodborne had frame pacing issues and it still plays better than 99% of the action games out there
