You have not given me any good reasons already; as I said my laptop can do everything this thing can do but better. My gaming laptop goes everywhere with me that my 3DS goes so to say it is not as portable is a lie. On the topic of Nintendo consoles having Nintendo games, I think you are missing something very vital to your point. Nintendo console is not only about Nintendo titles, it is about exclusive titles in their entirity. I want an XBOX One over PS4 because of the Halo franchise, for example. The fact that this console runs games worse than my other devices and has NO EXCLUSIVE CONTENT makes it a useless product. There is no incentive for anyone to throw 3-5 hundo away on a console that adds almost nothing to their lives.

The problem is that you seem incapable of understanding that. And I did not call you any names or insult you, I inquired because you are acting a certain way (not very intelligent). Your laptop is not anywhere as comfortable. Most games even need a mouse or a extra controller. You pretty much always need a desk to play your laptop.

Examples of scenarios you cant play with your laptop:

- in the bus

- in the park

- in the car

- on the toilet

- While taking a bath

- While standing in a line (Eg at gamescom)

- on the bus station waiting for your bus

and so on.

More advantages the Smach Z have over your laptop:

- Better battery life

- Cheaper

- Lighter

- Smaller

- Better PPI

- Doesnt get as hot

- Doesnt get as loud

How many are exclusives? People arnt getting consoles for excluvies (just a minority) but for popular third party franchises. Franchises the SmachZ will play and the switch (for the most part) wont.

The SmachZ adds portability to the people life. Like the switch will do. I already explained you like dozens of times that the fact the wii u sold poorly already proves that people will get the switch to get portability or the switch will fail.

If you think portability is not something anybody cares about, please explain why the wii u failed and the switch will succeed. The Wii U had 2 Remastered Zelda games with a new zelda game pretty much advertised scince 2012, A zelda spin off warrior game, a 3D Mario, A 2d Mario Creation Tool, Probl the best Mario Kart with 48 tracks and beatifull graphics (a franchise that sold 30+mio 7th gen), Pokemon Tekken crossover (+ pokemon go hype), new Star Fox game, Third Party exclusives like Bayonetta 2 and ZombiU.

AND if nintendo games are the only reason to get the console, please explain why the Gamecube sold 22 Mio but the Ps2 sold 150 Mio units with many ps2 games even beeing available on other consoles/PC as well.

The SmachZ will fail because its not as popular, they dont have a image and big marketing budgets. Thats all legit points.

But in terms of functions, it will similar, most likely better then the switch for mass market.

A major thing that you are not taking into account is that the PS & XB ecosystem first built a name by having exclusive games/features and over the course of 15-20 have built up a reputation and an audience for those multiplatform titles.

PS1 became so popular because of all the big exclusives it recieved like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto, etc. This continued into the following generation where PS2 still had a ton of exclusives on top of being a cheap DVD player early on.

Same goes for the original Xbox, it made a name for itself primarily due to Halo and Xbox Live and other various exclusives to a lesser extent.

During the 7th generation we saw exclusives have less importance while multiplatform releases became the norm and Microsoft was able to steal away a good chuck of the Playstation audience due to some big mistakes that Sony made, primarily pricing PS3 at $600.

This generation is essentially the same as last generation with Sony being able to take back some of that audience from Microsoft.

Over the course of 15-20 years these two gaming giants have built a name and a reputation and an audience for these multiplatform titles, they didnt hust release one day and instantly become the home of multiplat titles.

Not sure if you have looked up sales for gaming laptops but its an overall niche market.

In 2015 it was projected that the entire gaming laptop market sold a whopping ~4 million units divided up between nearly a dozen seperate companies.

The entire gaming laptop market barely outsold Wii U in 2015 which is universally recognized as a massive flop.

Gaming laptops make up a small percentage of overall gaming PC sales and Smach Z will make up an even smaller subset of that market.

And here is the biggest flaw in your argument, you keep saying the mass market will only buy one device rather than multiple...........so who the hell is gonna buy a Smach Z? virtually no one.

A smart person listens to the customer base. On the videos, negative reception. On this page, negative reception. And every legitimate reason given to you is not a good enough one. Unfortunately, the problem with your logic is that the people that you want to support the product are telling you they will not and WHY they will not. Ignoring true issues, ignoring customers, and being bullheaded is not only not going to win anyone over, but it is not going to progress the product at all. If you are thinking that people are going to be willing to pay 3-5 hundred dollars on a console that ONLY adds minimal portability and dimished returns, you are mistaken. At least lie and say the company is looking to fix the issues that potential customers, such as myself are bringing up.

You cannot point to your poll (more than 50% of the people voting have a negative response) on this site or the general public reception, or your youtube reception. Everybody that wants a portable device that can play most third party AAA titles that are released on pc.

I give you the point with the gaming laptops, thought it was more. But you need to keep in mind they are extremly expensive and not as portable as the smachZ + have poor battery life and so on. A gaming laptop isnt really portable if the battery dies in 1 hours and those machines are 1500bucks+
