Problem with gaming laptops is their HORRIBLE battery life.

Also, I've had a lot of bad experiences with gaming laptops. Personally wouldn't even say it's worth it

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I know they aren't cost effective but even though he has a nice desktop he still uses his old laptop more.  I know he will use the snot out of it. Thanks for your input though.

with that kinda money you could get some badass laptops....

get something like this:
http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/alienware-15-laptop/dkcwf02h?selectionState=eyJGUHJpY2UiOjEzOTkuOTksIk9DIjoiZGtjd2YwMmgiLCJRdHkiOjEsIk1vZHMiOltdfQ%253D%253D

New Alienware 15 laptop ~1399$.

However its kinda badass, equal to alot of people stationary gameing pcs.
i7 6700HQ (3.5ghz, 4cores/8threads) , 16gb DDR4 2400, Nvidia 1060 6gb graphics card.

Is the 1070 a big jump from the 1060?

The 1070 is like 30-35% faster than the 1060 on avg.

Thanks Yuri, good call. My son loves it. The highest end game he has on it is Watch Dogs 2 but it runs that and all his other games on Ultra.  Overwatch looks reallly pretty. Thanks for the help all.
