Forums - Gaming Discussion - No Man's Sky Foundation Update

Thanks for the update, cool to hear from them would've been nicer to hear sooner, but better late than never. Looking forward to jumping back on when they start adding stuff.

Don't ruin the moment

This seems like literally the last thing NMS needs. Like, why would a game about constant space exploration even need base building, lol? Good on them for continuing to support the game after the gamer backlash though.

No Man's What? Damage is already done, though I guess it's cool you can built your own bases now.

I have to agree with this.

At this point they are making more promises and as much as I would like to believe them, I won't until they they can earn the trust back from gamers which will be a hard task.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm looking forward to it

The PS5 Exists.

At least they're not doing a Gearbox and they're trying to fix the mess.

The game was and is a big disappointment and no patch will be able to put a good light on that game, ever. It will never be what was promised, it will never be the game of forever, it will never come to psvr.
The game is inherently broken, was oversold and generated unhealthy hype for some people.
The “ending“ is just the top of it. The only thing worse would be if you'd end up waking up, realizing it was all just a dream.
Still good they are putting out a patch so that the remaining fanbase get some improvements, of course. This was a full price game in the end and people deserve some support post launch but I think they will never ever be able to release a game that doesn't get the bad connotations from NMS.

So they're beginning to patch in features that this game had no business releasing without? Good to hear.

I don't understand how Sony allowed this to release on their watch... was there just a complete lack of communication?

I am too but I'm very cautious.

They are making a statement with that message and it's good to know they're sticking around.

I guess it's good to know that they didn't go into hiding like cowards, but it's far too late to save this game. I'm certainly never buying it no matter how many patches they throw at it.

The damage is done. The game is a huge disappointment and the playerbase is dead (according to Steamspy just 33k of 798k owners have played the game in the past 2 weeks). Hello Games should just move on to a new game.
