How come Europeans figured a way out of this mess long ago and the US hasn't followed suit?

EU got themselves a bunch of taxslaves to pay for their schemes. Now and then, they give dump some money in education for PR.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

The current secretary of education has a bachelor's degree in government, a master's degree in education, a doctorate in law, and a doctorate in educational administrative practice both from Columbia (Teaching College).  Also, a doctorate in law.

Didn't even have to get to number two to realize you have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, sounds like he's well on his way to a second term. After all, he gets his support mostly from the uneducated, and this should ensure that there will be enough uneducated people.

Teachers pay is not why the cost of a education in the US is so expensive.

Other countries have free education for everyone, and do so by public schools, and takeing it via tax from its citizens.

That is the easy solution to this mess, and benefits the most people.

What a naive view of reality ...

The US also has free schools and most of it's budget is spent on none other than damn teachers! (67% all blown on compensation and benefits!)

The lowest level you can drop to is blaming teachers, the people who make doctors engineers and other fields. Because without good teachers a country is an uneducated pile of backwards dirt. Teachers are severely underpaid not overpaid. Lawyers are overpaid and so are dentists, in America at least.

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Its going to be sad when the country is a dried up husk after its said and done. But hey, the people wanted this.

Given the atrocious spelling by "pierre", my best guess is that this post IS from the educational secretary herself...
