Yeah if it was anyone other than Nintendo. Pikmin 3 was already off of shelves. Bayo 2 was pretty much gone by then too. Limited runs on games meant that if you didn't get them at launch then they became quite difficult to get. At least physical copies.

Well they did give Pikmin 3 another run via Nintendo Select and I had no issue getting Bayo 2 off Amazon, though the availability probably isn't the same everywhere. There's always the eShop though!

On most consoles, sure. But the Wii U is the exception to that. All of its good games are getting ported or recieving enhanced ports on other consoles. So the whole system feels more like a Beta test for the Switch than anything else

That shouldn't affect your enjoyment of those games though, it's not like MK8 is suddenly worse and the experiences you had with it are ruined because a Switch remaster exist.
