so less than 4m, easy.

What about the 50% mark? Only if they have the 'holy trinity', imo.

For 50% they need to sell more than Sony and MS combined. Not in the near future.

That's what those letters meant above the number then. So ~14M copies sold of WSR to Wii owners who got WS free with their consoles plus copies of WS to owners who bought a Wii with WSR. Still seems high! Impressive if it did manage to sell that amount without giving it away. (Did WSR come with Wii Remote Plus?)

it came with that addon for normal remotes that added the functionaluty.. They later bundled that hardware as Wii remote plus.

Yes it'll cross the 700M sold quite soon, but I don't see it taking 50% marketshare.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Thank you for the info. Data makes much more sense now.

The Virtual boy is missing from this list

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

It always surprises me how poorly in retrospect the Nintendo 64 sold. All the fond memories growing up in the 90's was always about the N64 and everyone going to this friends house to play Goldeneye, or MarioKart, or Zelda. It's like it's every 90's kids memory, yet the PS4 has already sold 10 million more consoles in 3 years.

I always wonder what Nintendo's original sales projections were for the Wii. Considering home console sales declined every gen since the NES up to that point, cant imagine they ever thought they'd sell 100m.
