Are their any trailers so exceptional that they made you want to but a game, or one so freaking awesome that it still stands out in your mind? Share some of your favorite video game trailers here!

Mine: 

Nothing is more memorable than the Gears of War Mad World trailer.

This trailer acomplishes everything a great trailer should. Many movies don't get trailers as good as this. And it's about 2.30 min only!

-Telling what the plot's about? Check.

-Show off the mechanics? Check.

-Show the world that you're going to explore? Check.

-Get you hyped for the game? Check.

Seriously, the Skyrim trailer is freaking awesome.  The music and editing work together perfectly to bring the hype.  And the best part?  It's HONEST hype!  It *looks* like gameplay, it shows you what you are actually getting!  So many trailers these days bring hype with a asterisk, cause they are clearly highly scripted, enhanced, often straight CGI, and completely unrepresentative in every facet and painfully obvious that that's the case.  Also, that FUS RO DAH!  was awesome cause it completely sold me on the Shout system, which had sounded awkward and weird before.  And that moment when the music goes from cool to freaking EPIC is just the single most memorable trailer moment ever. 

I have similar feelings for the first three Xenoblade Chronicles X trailers.  The announcement is especially memorable just for blowing my mind so many times!

Though the E3 trailer was pretty amazing as well!

Final Fantasy XIII. I watched the Trailer(s) a bagillion times. Simply awesome. Not hyped at all for XV, btw. =P

Skyrim Trailer was also pretty awsome, yeah.

Other than that, I think I actually forgot about most trailers now that you mention it. Lemme think... Nope, of the top of my head, can't think of anything else. And I wouldn't even had thought about Skyrim if it wouldn't have been mentioned in the thread. Funny, Gametrailers seem to be pretty forgettable, at least to me...

Oh wait, do Advertisings count? If that's the case, I just thought about the Zelda Rap for A Link to the Past! "Willst du die Prinzessin befreien aus bösen Klauen, musst du dem Drachen die Rübe abhauen!" ... Sorry, I only saw it in german back in the days, was there also a Rap Advertising for the game in the US? =D
