I am back from watching Billy Lynn, and it was very good. Before I went to watch it, the only two things I knew about it was 120 fps, and 7.3 on imdb. I was like, okay, guess I am gonna watch a fancy visual but mediocre movie since I am hanging out with my collegues in friday night. At begining I was suprised that the visual effects were not as good as I was expecting, and kinda boring. At that point, I felt pretty bad, cuz I probably just wasted money. However as the movie went on, I started to feel it is so REAL, not in terms of visual effect but people's emotion, thinking, interaction and ultimately reveals the problems behind them. I can still remeber the eyes of that kid whose father got taken by US army, it's like telling you that you will pay for this. After watching the movie, I go to imdb to check out some of the reviews with low score. One of them just makes me laugh out loud, which basically says the story is short and boring, he didnt get what does the movie try to convey, etc. Man, I feel so sorry for him not being able to understand a good, deep movie.

Around the Network

I didn't even know this even existed.

I watch it eventually I really liked Life of Pie and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is my favorite movie from the year 2000. His next movie could be very good also as long as the two main actors actually come close to their real live counter parts.
