Famicom Classic Edition sells over 250k in 4 days

Looks like the Famicom Classic Edition is just as big a hit in Japan as it is in the rest of the world. It has been revealed that the hardware moved 262,961 units in 4 days. Remember, the system was pretty much a sellout as soon as hit store shelves! Let's hope Nintendo can keep this momentum going and get more stock out there very soon.

 

Good news. So i guess they made more then a 100k batch of them .

Edit: They should have bundled it with the Wii U :-p.

Spoke with a retailer who told me that 100k units were divided over entire europe and only 1000 of them came to Sweden (the retailer I spoke with had 12 units which was a whole lot compared to many others he said)

Damn, that's low. Maybe Nintendo is bringing 100k batches at a time. I would think they could sell like 500k numbers in Europe for that price.

Some 40k below according to VGC so it did great indeed. It may actually be saving Nintendo holiday if they can keep up supply for the next weeks.
