The Thread title has so many mistakes it hurts, not only the butchering of Digital Foundry's name but also the fact that Watch Dogs 2 runs worst... on a different platform, not named in the title here, I think the word you were looking for is "worse"
But yeah, I watched this video even DF pointed out that it is definitely the minority of games which are having issues with games framerates and praise the new Fifa / CoD / Titanfall and Battlefield as all adding amazing graphical features to the games with no impact to performance, I mean, DF themselves answer the question in the OP if you watched the video.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
It's interesting that after three years of 'not noticing' framerate drops, tearing and lower resolutions, it suddenly becomes a terrible thing. Thank God the internet is only a tiny representation of gamers.
The PS5 Exists.
This thread is causing a lot of distress.
I hope WD2 makes me feel in a better mood whenever I play it.

People with complaints always talk loudest. And again, the devs are the issue, not the console. I have no reason to be upset. But you obviously need to troll PS to make you feel better about Xbox. Don't blame you |
Get this thing back on track, you two. Leave Xbox out of it.

Correct.this has nothing to do with xbox.

Again, like TLOUs 60fps mode, they are pushing the res too high. They need to go 1600p or 1440p.
Sony need to enforce rules ASAP.
Yeah this shouldn't be happening but ignore the digs that OP is having.
So Pro excels at image quality and checkerboard does a good job at producing a good 4k-like image but there's a load of screen tearing that's not on the base model. Since Pro runs most games without a problem we have to question did the devs not have enough time to optimise through for the Pro and/or are games that are developed without Pro in mind harder to get to run smoothly.
With that in mind is this something that can be patched or are the problems coded deep within the game?
I'm not a fan of the franchise at all but I think this is more of a dev issue than a hardware issue. If nothing else, I'm sure the game can be run in regular mode. Right?

I think the problem may be the resolution is too high.. 1800p might be pushing it.. AAA titles will have troubles running in 4K but I am assuming if they stuck with 1600p max would have been better choice.. and as for regular mode.. No clue.
