Welcome to the 2016 Discussion Thread. This is the thread to discuss about all of our top 50 games. But first just some housekeeping:

  • All discussion is to be posted in this thread. The Official Thread is only for posting our lists.
  • I encourage everyone to ask questions and spark discussion. These are our favorite games of all time after all, and don't be shy to tell others why a certain game is so great... or to ask another user why his/her game made it on the list. The more discussion the better!
  • That said, please keep things civil and fun. There is no room in this thread for flaming others or trolling games/systems. Doing so will result in immediate moderation.
  • I've left a calender at the end of this post to show which day we're on.

#48 - A 2D platformer that started a massive franchise that nowadays has become pretty much a joke altogether.
#47 - The third and final entry in this platformer trilogy by a developer that nowadays makes highly acclaimed, mature-rated games.
#46 - A skateboarding game that let you pretty much steal stuff from the city to create a dream skatepark.
#45 - One of the most hyped games of this century before release... and one of the most hated now that it's out.

I'm not very good with hints

My 50th game is a spin off of a popular JRPG exclusive to Nintendo. It's the 2nd game in the series. It doesn't involve mysterious dungeons.
