Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Phil Spencer Receives An NES Mini From Nintendo

Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, is now an owner of the NES Classic Edition console which releases this Friday. He can now enjoy playing the 30 classic gems the NES Mini has to offer.

I actually like how companies don't realy consider each other as "threats" or don't see the gaming market as a console war. I think we should all take a few notes from the big companies and not get too serious about the "console war". But it looks like Phil Spencer is really excited to play the games he probably played as a child. That or he's going to use it just as a decoration lol.

Are any of you picking up a NES Mini?

Awesome!
I'm hoping I'll get mine for Christmas :D

I am tempted to pick it up. Nice to see Phil enjoying a gift.

That's pretty cool actually

That's a really cool gesture :)

Picking one up next Friday on the 18th. Can't wait myself. I thought it came out on 11/11.

Nice, I'll likely be purchasing the NES Classic Mini during the holidays

The headline makes it seem like Nintendo gifted him one, but I don't infer that from the tweet.

Anyway, it's usual PR work. Everyone loves Nintendo when they don't do well.

How did he receive it early? I am not sure, but it still is nice for him to tweet it out and thank Nintendo.

GR why you promote your own website mang

Am I the only who feels a budding bromance between MS and Nintendo? I mean, both are often blindsided by Sony and when both do perform great, it's often at their rival's expense. Could we actually see some "the enemy of my enemy is my friend here?"
