Again if Switch abolustley bombs (but no way it will absolutly bomb), they will stick with Switch platform and just released new hardware that will basicly be part of Switch platform, not new hardware and new platform. |
I disagree. I believe they'll release a 3DS successor to try get people to upgrade. BTW I don't think Switch bombs that bad so I don't think this happens. just talking hypothetical

But Switch is succesor and upgrade for 3DS users also, and you can bet that Nintendo in 2-3 years in any case will relase Switch Pocket, that will be smaller version of Switich, whitout seperate controler and dock, that will be around $100 chepaer than full Switch, and that will just for portable gaming.

In the west it's not. They're not marketing it like a successor and I thibk it's because they're holding the DS series as a backup in case the switch bombs like the Wii U did.

They still dont marketing it at all yet, we only had one Switch trailer where we see handheld and home console in one. You are wrong, DS and Wii series are dead for them and you want see any new hardware based on them any more, but you will see several Switch hardwares.

It's basically the Wii U tablet. it's basically a spiritual successor to the vita. it's a mobile comsole will the ability to play on the big screen.
If this bombs they'll try get a 3DS brand succesor and try get more sales from that. Obviously the handheld would be able to connect to a TV aswell.

Of Course it's not Wii U tablet, it has similar form but everything else including controls are different. Has dont have anuthing with Vita. Its hybrid of home console and handheld, you can use it like real home console (on full screen, most likely at higher resolution than in portable mode, with separate controller, and local multiplayer) and like real handheld, not just handheld with ability to play on big screen (PSP).
No they want, DS brend will be dead next year, same like Wii brend. Switch can be connected to TV, there is no point releasing handheld that can be connected to TV if they have Switch.
Basically it's a beefed-up PSV, how could it fail?

It's basically a handheld you can plug into your TV. like the vita.
It's going to fail without Zelda at launch. Hum.
