But.... you're in luck since the n3DS is on sale for just $100 USD!!

Do you guys think I should get a new one or just send it for repairs?

Ufff that hurts to see, you need to put an advice or something.

I'm really sorry for your loss, maybe nintendo can help you?

Something about this picture looked suspicious, so I used my image-enhancing software and found.......

How do you respond to the allegations that you are, in fact, Batman?

Thats true but its like, I live in canada and its pretty cold these days. So its just odd T_T

I wonder if it would be cheaper to get Nintendo to fix it or just buy a new one.

Not sure, never dealt with Nintendo on repairs. Probably cheaper to get a new one, considering they're about to go on sale. A new 3DS model was just announced for $100 on Black Friday, and 3DS XL's will probably be available for $150 or less on Black Friday this year.

That's true. I wonder if that applies to Canada as well or if it's just US only

Yea I will call them but I am wondering if anyone knows the replacement prices. Cause it just might be worth it to get a new one.

Even before you factor in extra discounts that are bound to happen BF/Holiday, buying N3DS may only be an extra $10-20 more expensive vs getting this fixed. It may even be cheaper. Gotta believe that fixing the 3D screen is no trifling matter. Quick google search on the cost for that repair is around 75-85 dollars.

Getting the N3DS XL instead may be a little more expensive - maybe only $30-70 extra.

When I went from 2DS to N3DS XL, I noticed a pretty big jump in load times. The c-stick nub made Smash 3DS way, way better too.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Damage to the inner screen is usually caused by overheating i think.

I wouldn't recommend trying this, but you could easily break the inner screen without cracking the outer part.  The outer part is somewhat flexible, so if you apply pressure, it will bend but not break.  The actual screen however, is not flexible, and it will crack.

When I had to replace mine, it was something like 80 dollars.  Course, that may have changed.  So, definitely cheaper than buying a new one, specially since you have a special edition.  Unless you want to upgrade to the new 3ds of course.
