Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Get a Limited-Edition New 3DS for $100 on Black Friday

Nintendo announced today that it will offer the New Nintendo 3DS for only $100 on Black Friday. That's the lowest-ever official MSRP for the handheld device.

Two new models will be offered for that price on November 25. One is black and the other is white, and both feature Mushroom Kingdom characters and imagery on the case. Characters like Mario, Luigi, and Toad are seen on the system, along with bob-ombs, piranha plants, and coins, among other things.

Note that these are not the XL variants of the New Nintendo 3DS but rather the regular-size model. Additionally, there is no pack-in game. The deal begins on Black Friday at retailers across the United States. No end-date for the offer was announced.

The New Nintendo 3DS normally sells for $150 in a bundle that comes with Super Mario 3D Land. The New 3DS XL, meanwhile, goes for $200.

This is the first we're hearing of Black Friday deals for Nintendo hardware. If you're looking for a new PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, numerous retailers will offer the systems (in bundles that include games) for $250 instead of $300.

That is a great offer, I'd like to get a N3DS, even if it's just to get the XL model. Shame I'm saving for the Switch, so nothing of this if it even comes to Europe.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

That is a very good deal. And it is an official one.I expect to find even better ones(be it a better price or a bundle with better value) from "unofficial" places. If you were looking for an excuse to buy a 3DS, tgat is the one.And dont worry about buying a XL.In my opinion, the new 3DS screen size is very good for what it does.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

That's awesome! I would so pick this up if I wasn't saving for a Switch.

I would actually prefer a standard New 3DS I think.  It's screen is smaller than my XL, but it's bigger than the original and imo the system looks to be of a very good size to balance convenience and experience quality.  And it's more cost effective.  I've personally always been annoyed that the normal New 3DS never came stateside stand alone.  Might have to grab this if I can motivate myself to venture into the chaos.  I'm sure one of the FIVE (yes, five) GameStops in my area will have some :P

Like I said in the other thread, is a great deal, but I don't really have a need for it

Great deal. I wonder if anyone I know wants one...

So I went to Nintendo's site and just realized that none of the new 3DS offers come with an AC charger. None. All just state you can use any of the DS family chargers.

Yes, this is their official stance.  Do not agree.

That has to be frustrating to new buyers. Especially those who don't read fine-print. Kinda sad. 2DS comes with an AC charger though.
